Chapter Fifty Two: What is Jerrod's problem?

Colin's POV

My head felt like it had been hit with hammer a good few times. My body aching from head to toe, yet I couldn't quite find any energy to open my eyes.

My brain hurts so much I can't quite remember what had caused it to be that painful.

Realisation suddenly hit me and I open my eyes rapidly to find Paul next to me in hospital bed, yet I smell of smoke hit my nose straight away.

Paul's arms are wrapped in bandages but he seems happy to find me awake.

"You gave me quite a scare," he says to me.

"Hold on Paul Arrow," I begin.

He looked at me, his facial expressions already telling me something bad had happened.

"Colin please tell me you won't do something stupid if I tell you."

"I can't promise that," I say ignoring the pain in my head by this point.

"Those two men in masks, there was a third.Harry and I got caught in an small explosion which only managed to damage part of the hospital. Lilly was found knocked out. God forbid why she was even here. Arrow's dad got badly hurt in the blast. He erm...he lay lose his leg at this point. Some of us got lucky then others. Who ever those men were...only conclusion we have is both Arrow and Tyler got taken. I'm so sorry Colin," he says to me.

"Taken? But why," I begin.

"Because of Embrace Two," said Lilly who had just entered the room.

"What do you mean?" Paul asks before I can.

"There boss showed up with his daughter. Took Arrow, Tyler and another boy. He said he wanted a word with Arrow but it felt strange, odd even. He came to take Arrow with him. God knows what he is going to do to Arrow. All I know is Embrace Two is a threat to this guy. Anyone want to adventure a guess?"

"Who knows. Just sounds like another person messed up in the head and Arrow has fell right under his radar. Shit Arrow...if I find this man he will pay for taking Arrow and Tyler and thinking he even has a right too."

"It seems we have a match to the man that took Arrow and Tyler. Mark Wright. He has been suspected of some sort of child abduction and violence but always got off scott free. We now have proper proof of him kidnapping but we have no trace of the limo so far. But they are working hard to find it," said a young female officer who had entered the room after Lilly.

"What...how have you not stopped this guy if he is involved in anything to do with child abduction? You got to  be fucking kidding me!" I shout a bit too loud.

"We never found proof and it would of just fell through in court," she says to me.

"Don't mind him. His husband and kid have been taken and we all just went through quite an ordeal recently. I'll get him to calm down," Paul begins but I cut cover him.

"No shit. I'm not going to calm down. If these idiots did there jobs there be no need for Embrace. Not enough people to care about these kind of things apart from Arrow."

"And because of his kindness and wisdom. It may just get him killed," said Jerrod who had sneaked into the room unnoticed till now.

"Jerrod just shut up. Arrow isn't going to die," Paul begins.

"Let's be real about this. How many times can Arrow escape these kind of things? There are no leads the officer is basically saying and Arrow's dad is in no place to go find him. These officers clearly are quite useless. So I'm sorry but Arrow's on his own for now. I hope we can find him but we have no idea what this Mark Wright is capable of."

I struggle out of bed and punch Jerrod right in the face. "If it was Connor you wouldn't be saying that!" I scream at him.

"Well I wouldn't have too. Connor doesn't have a death wish!" Jerrod shouts back at me.

"Take that back. Arrow never asked for any of this!"

"If you say so but I'm sick of watching you get hurt because of him and now your son is in danger. How is  Arrow going to protect him if he can't even protect himself."

"Fuck off Jerrod go back to your happy family. I fucking sort this out on my own since its my problem not yours!" I say before storm out the room and I felt like I was doing a good job until everything went blurry and I collaspe to the floor.

"Nurse we need help!" I hear Paul shout before I blackout full of so much anger.

What is Jerrod's problem?
