Y/N woke up with a sore body and a grumbling stomach. She turned over and saw that it was already dark. The clock on her phone told her it was already midnight and that she missed dinner.
She sighed. She didn't want to get up but she had to. She was starving. But she's already so comfortable in the bed! She lay there trying to fall back to sleep. Just as she was about to finally doze off, she was suddenly faced with the need to pee. She grumbled and kicked off the covers and stomped her way to the bathroom.
She did her business and surveyed herself in the mirror. She looked like she just came from a really good nap, which of course, she did. There were indents of wrinkly sheets on her arm and cheek, her hair was a mess, her eyes were puffy and red, and her lips were numb and plump. Her breath was atrocious too. She brushed her teeth and heard her stomach grumble again.
"Alright, alright, I'll get to you in a minute", she said through the toothpaste foam.
She cleaned herself up and put on her robe over her nightgown. The sleepy half of her mind told her to just go to the kitchens quickly while the more awake half mulled over the fact that she never went out of her room this late at night before. She wondered if the castle looked creepy or if anyone else was awake.
She contemplated whether or not to bring an oil lamp. Who was she kidding? She had a flashlight on her phone.
She slowly opened her bedroom door, trying not to make too much noise. She took a deep breath, adjusting her eyes through the darkness. The lamps were lit every few meters, just enough to give light.
Y/N briskly walked through the quiet halls of Cair Paravel. She heard footsteps coming around the corner and swiftly ducked under the shadows of an alcove, painfully aware that the cold night air emphasized the absence of her bra underneath her clothes. She cursed under her breath. She should've brought a blanket.
It didn't matter, the kitchen would warm up after she'd made her meal. She waited for the guards to turn the other corner before continuing down her way to the kitchens. She slid down the banister of the grand staircase, quietly giggling to herself all the way.
She eventually reached the kitchens after hiding from a few more patrolling guards. She noticed the warm lamp lights seeping through the door and realized she hadn't thought that people might be in the kitchen readying for the next day's meals. She pressed her ear to the door but heard no movement from the other side. She very carefully opened the door and let out a big sigh when she saw nobody inside.
She tiptoed her way in and silently closed the door. There was a lot of food marinating on one of the islands. Another island held other pre-prepped food. She thought it best to not snoop around and went directly to where she knew the sliced bread, eggs, and mayonnaise were. She was going to make herself a nice, toasted, egg-sandwich.

Caspian face-planted on his bed. He had a very stressful night after dinner.
>Flashback<
It was halfway through dinner and yet Y/N's usual seat was still empty. He didn't think too much of it. He figured she was tired after her hours of swordsman training and sparring.
"For goodness sake, the plates are almost empty, where is that girl?", Lucy said from his right.
"I bet she was tired after the strenuous activity the king put her during the afternoon", Berkus piped in, causing the other councilmen to chuckle at the obvious double meaning.
"I beg your pardon?", Lucy asked.
"Reepicheep started training Lady Y/N with the art of sword fighting and I sparred with her afterward, but thank you for the wonderful choice of words, Lord Berkus", Caspian said stiffly. The councilmen only snickered childishly, making Caspian roll his eyes.
