Link's POV

We made it to the Royal Ancient Tech Lab—wow that is a mouthful—without any problems.

And by 'No problems' I mean we had to fight a rouge Gaurdian to get here. And I had to make sure that Zelda didn't get killed since, with no battle training at all she decided to join the fight.

I mean I admire her confidence but... her father would kill me if she got hurt.

Anyway, when we got to the tech lab, Purah and her partner, Robbie started analyzing Egg Gaurdian, and it's connection to the Sheikah slate.

Or something like that. I wasn't paying very much attention.

Robbie said something about the knowledge that they could obtain from the egg, while dancing....

Then Purah walked in with the Sheikah slate. "Aw, yeah! Check it." She stuck up two fingers on her left hand and positioned them around her eye.

I don't know what reaction she wanted, but when she didn't get it she shrugged and put her hand down before joining us by the table.

"I extracted some visual data from the Gaurdian's memory." She continued. Purah handed the slate to Zelda who then proceeded to look at the images that Purah uncovered, Impa looking over her shoulder.

"Is that..." She looked to stunned to put it into words.

"Yup." Purah answered. "No doubt about it. Hyrule castle after Calamity Ganon has been revived."

"As you can see, we've managed to uncover some of the data, but much of it was fragmented. Even so, if I analyze what we received, I may be able to make sense of more of it. Robbie continued.

"This is... the ruin the Calamity will bring on all of Hyrule." Zelda said, her eyes widening in horror. "If we allow this to pass, I fear all hope will be lost."

"Even everything we've done up until now... likely won't be enough..." Impa cut in.

"If I don't succeed... at sealing the Calamity..." The Princess started.

I watched the picture on the slate. As if by pure will I could make it sunny and happy, and not destroyed, or anything else the Calamity did.

"Never." Zelda cut herself off. "This will not come to pass."

There was a determined glint in her eye that made me believe that we could actually save Hyrule.

But I'm just a Knight. I thought. Part of the reason I'm following the Princess, is to keep an eye on the Gaurdian that won't leave her side. Only the Knight armed with the Master Sword can do that.

we sat in silence for a while. Lost in our own thoughts, not even Eggy made a sound.

Then Purah broke the silence. "Your highness."

Zelda looked up to meet Purah's gaze.

"There was something else that you might need to know." The female researcher continued.

"We have been noticing significant surges of strange, unknown magic all over Hyrule." Robbie elaborated.

Zelda look conflicted, as if she didn't know wether to be worried or scared. "Does Father know?" She asked.

Purah and Robbie exchanged glances.

"Well..." Purah started. "no."

"We don't even know what these surges are, or even whose behind them." Robbie stated. "They haven't happened near any settlements, and don't seem to be harmful."

"Where was the last place one of these surges happened?" Impa asked.

"Goron Town." Her sister answered.

"Good." Zelda said. "We needed to go there to recruit someone to pilot Divine Beast Vah Rudaina. If you give us as close to an exact location we can get, we'll check it out after that."

"Yes Princess." Robbie said before him and Purah when in the back to get that location.

Impa turned to Zelda. "What do you suppose this is your highness?"

Zelda shook her head. "I don't know. But it they are in fact, harmful then we need to be able to find a way to combat it."

"But what if they're friendly, or there's no way to defeat them?" Impa questioned, worried.

"If their friendly-then that's good. But if their no way to fight them, then... never mind." Zelda cut herself off. "But I do have a feeling that they are—in some way—related to the Calamity. I just don't know whose's side they're on."

I hope you guys like it so far!!! I believe that I am doing Link justice by giving him more of a character—a small town boy who has never dreamed of being anything more than that. I also made him willing to help others, as he is a hero of courage. Even though he is not canon, and does not appear in Linked Universe.

Hope you like it!

P.S. Don't forget to give me some feedback anywhere you think I might need it.
