LISA'S POV

The class then begin and the teacher distributed the test paper

I finished first then Jennie next and on and on

I sighed knowing that I would win the bet, I stared at the window looking dull

As the class ended I went to Kim's mansion while the other girls including Chaeyoung and Jennie went to the Manoban's mansion

As I arrived I bowed down to Jennie's grandfather and asked for forgiveness

He got confused and asked me to explain and take a sit

I sat down and started explaining about the Wang accident and that Jennie might be targeted by Assassins

He slapped me. But I deserved it

It was my fault after all. I apologize again. He just sighed and asked me to take responsibilities

I told him I would guard her 24/7 until this month. And that even if I were to move I would constantly keep an eye on her and that I would ask bodyguards to guard her

He was relieved hearing this. He may be two-faced and whatnot but he still cares for his granddaughter

I also told him about the relationship between me and Jennie but I told him that I approached her first...definitely not true

He was beyond frustrated right now

But...I decided what was good for Jennie and told her grandfather that I would leave her

I even told him to give Jennie a suitable husband and I recommended Cha Eunwoo. I gave him the information about Eunwoo and he accepted

I apologize again and went home. I felt content that he was able to understand and I let my tears flow as I thought Jennie would leave me

The driver picked me up and I called Jennie's father. He has lots of emotions shown but he mostly felt sad for me and Jennie but decided to support my decision

I asked him to be there for her when I moved and when she was on her hardest which is when she is about to get married

I hung up the phone and we reached the mansion not too long after

When I got in they keep asking questions but I ignored them and went directly to my room. I didn't bother changing my clothes and immediately went to bed

I sat there and looked at the pendant my father gave me and silently let my tears fall to the pendant

"I'm sorry Dad...I'm a coward. I can't lose her too...please don't be disappointed in me. Don't blame me, I did it for her.."

I turned off the lights in my bedroom and buried my face on the pillow as I cried softly

Suddenly, I heard someone knocking on the door, I tried to recompose myself but she already opened the door

I was shocked. "Jennie! What are you doing here?!"

She ignored it and saw tear stains on my face

She looked at me with a worried face and immediately wiped the tears on my eyes

I gripped onto her shirt leaning towards her and cried silently not wanting her to know. She noticed her shirt getting wet so she went down on her knees and looked at me

She holds my hand and wiped my tears with her other hand

She asked me what was wrong but I didn't answer. Instead, I let go of her hand and told her to get out and I turned my back on her and laid on the bed
