Becoming Brothers

There was a huge announcement over the emergency speakers around the city saying that the military will not be letting anyone in or out until the riots have been extinguished. Even if they are, everyone is on edge due to Abyss and now reports about a white beast rampaging throughout the city.

I'm surprised that the military actually haven't stepped in yet to try and take down Abyss or the white beast. Probably because they don't want more panic in the citizens. I was nearing the city hall and saw that bodys have begun to pile up on the steps and in big letters written in blood it said fuck the government.

All of a sudden I heard a gunshot and a snapping sound near me. Someone was trying to shoot at me damnit. I took cover behind a tree and poked my head out to see if I could find out where the shooter was. Right then I saw a flash come from a skyscraper window and pieces of the tree flew off.

I got a card ready and did a quick look one more time and noticed that it was a SWAT team member. He's probably trying to shoot me because of how I look now that I'm not human. I saw another flash and jumped out of the way, as I did I threw my playing card in his direction. After I waited 20 seconds, I jumped into plain sight and as expected. There was no more gunshots coming in my direction.

I went on my way and decided to go enjoy myself with some police against rioters. I headed towards all the commotion that was happening a few blocks away and once I got there I saw rioters beating on police and visa versa. I went in and threw a couple of cards at both police and rioters making contact with their necks.

I was in the middle of fighting a thug, when all of a sudden he started screaming and turning gray, until he turned to ash. As he became nothingness and blew away, I saw who was standing behind him. "Runt, is that you?" I said surprised. "I prefer to be called Void" he responded.

He grabbed something off his belt, it looked like a bottle and then threw it into the crowd of rioters and police. The minute it broke, it got all over them and they begun to melt in a sense. There skin was melting off their bodies until you could see bone. The police and rioters were screaming in agony, until there was silence.

"What are you doing here Void?" I asked. As I said that, out of nowhere I could no longer see. It was like my eyes were open but all I saw was darkness. "What the fuck" I yelled. "Don't be afraid, for I'm not going to hurt you" said the voice. I turned around but still couldn't see anything.

Then 2 white eyes, along with a wide gapping mouth, full of razor sharp teeth appeared out of the darkness. "I merely want to recruit you Looney" said the voice. It was then I realized who it was. "I take it your Abyss?" I responded. "Yes I am and I plan on bringing this city down, followed by taking out the military"

"So why do you want me?" I asked. He started laughing in a deep demonic voice "you are a human that came back as a  demon, known as a pure one" Well he wasn't wrong about that. "Okay Abyss, I'll join you, I wanted to find you anways and fight with you" I replied. He gave out another laugh "perfect"

Then, just as it left, it came back. I could see again. I looked around and noticed that nobody was around anymore. I could see piles of ashes, melted down bodys, charred bodys and bodys that had gears sticking out of them. "Fucking shit Void" I said amazed. "This is nothing compared to what Abyss can do" he responded.

"Alright, let's go brothers" Abyss said. We headed out but we weren't really going in any direction. We were just trying to find more demons that we could recruit. Abyss was hovering over us, while Void and I got to know each other more. We talked about how we died, our abilities and what we were going to do after leaving the city.

We turned down another street and saw that a big brawl was happening between looters and other thugs. We decided to get in on the action as well. I threw some cards, making some go right into a thugs head, while my other cards sliced open a looters throat and another card sliced a guys face.

I looked over and saw Void cutting someone's eye with his weapon on his finger. Then he pulled out another bomb of his and threw it at 2 thugs rushing him. Once the bottle shattered, the 2 thugs immediately caught fire. He then pulled out some gears that looked like they have been sharpened and threw them, making contact with peoples heads, eyes and necks.

Some tried throwing a molotov at me but due to my levitating ability, I caught it while it was in the air and flung it back to the thug, catching him on fire. I then grabbed my switchblade and went against 3 different people. I looked behind my back and saw Abyss fighting as well.

He grabbed someone by the neck and then opened his mouth wider then humanly possibly and ripped out the guys throat with his teeth. He then engulfed a person in his darkness to where all I could see was a black dome around the area but couldn't see what was happening on the inside.

Once Abyss removed the darkness, all that remained of the thug was a head, torso and a leg. After we killed the remaining looters, we headed on our way. After 6 city blocks, we came across 2 mangled bodys, that had missing heads. "More of them?" Said Void. "Oh fuck, not again" I responded.

Void and I both looked at each other. "You've seen this?" We both said at once. "Yeah, I saw some guy that was probably a demon, tackle a person and rip their head off like it was nothing, then continued to kick the head like a football" replied Void.

"Hours ago I saw mangled up body's like these as well but when I encountered the demon, he wasn't human, he looked more like a beast with fur" I responded back. "What the fuck? Seriously?" Void said surprised. "That demon has 2 forms" Abyss said.

"It was a human but died and came back as a demon, that beast form you saw was one of its abilities, it usually occurs when the human has a more primal side then human, that ability is called beast from, it's extremely rare" Abyss continued. "So then if that's the case, then what?" Void asked. "Let's go find him" Abyss responded. So we headed out to go find the white beast.
