"So I take it you took some time to think about why you made the decision to return to therapy?" Yeah but I still don't know. I been trying to live a normal life. Adjusting to life as a mother and a wife. It's just so much going on. "Well let's open that up." Open what up? "Tell me about your baby. You had a little girl. What is she like?" She's so precious. She resembles me but she's all Derrick. My little Niyah. She's so smart. Been that way since she was born. "Did you transit into parenthood smoothly?" Oh hell no. Shit was rocky as fuck. I don't think I started getting the hang of things until.... I still don't have a hang on things. Shit changes so fucking fast. "That is does. Tell me about parenting life."

"I know I know mama. I just need 10 minutes of not holding you," Mel cooed to her crying 5 month old as she attempted to make just a single cup of tea. Saniyah had both Mel and Derrick running around like zombies. If she wasn't crying she was being held by one of them. If she was neither, she was sleep which one would think gave Mel and Derrick plenty of alone time together but that was a lie. They were exhausted. As much as they wanted to have some sexy time, it was hard to find the time, the moment, and the energy.

Belle and Beaux Deux came around the corner, the young pup howling at Niyah constantly crying. "Oh my God. Mommy doesn't need tea. She doesn't need a moment to herself. Beaux stop that!" She snapped. Picking up Niyah, the little one instantly stopped crying. Just wanting to be held by her mommy. The doorbell rang as Mel gently bounced her baby girl. "Heyyyy. Hey lil mama," Jo voiced as she walked inside. "Hey Jo," Mel voiced groggily. "Ummmm are you okay? Niyah screaming her ass off again?" "I just want something warm to drink. I mean like actually savor the moment."

"Girl I get it. I'm supposed to be at the store right now but I went and bought me some tacos and cried in the car while I pumped." "Look at you still breastfeeding after 7 months. And you thought you wouldn't be able to." "Now you know I was ready to quit after the pediatrician told me Mimi had a tongue tie. If you hadn't have mentioned it to Dawn, she would've been s.o.l and that's the truth." Jo kept coming over even after I had Niyah. We practically went through each stage of motherhood together. I felt so bad when she started crying because Midori wasn't latching on. Her titties were so engorged. You could see her veins popping out. I started praying that Saniyah would latch with ease and thank God she did. I don't think I could've gone through that.

"I just want to sit down and enjoy my tea and maybe take a nap. I got laundry to do. Work to catch up on. Dogs to clean up after and my sweet sweet crying attention seeking child won't calm down for 5 seconds let alone 5 minutes." "Did you try the shirt trick?" "It only lasts for like 3 minutes." "Are you making it feel like she on your titties though?" Mel looked at her friend confused. She had been told this numerous times but the lack of sleep was really messing with her memory at the moment. "Come on baby mama. Let's help you get some peace of mind," Jo said as they went to Niyah's room.

Mel sat in the rocker, watching Jo roll up one of Derrick's shirts, just big enough for Niyah then put Mel's over it. "And hand her here please ma'am." Mel groaned. She knew her child was going to scream bloody murder. Handing her off, Saniyah started whimpering, her tiny face scrunching up. "You're okay. You're not going to miss a single thing. No you're not. You're just a spoiled rich baby already and your mommy don't know what to do. But it's okay. I just learned this trick too," Jo cooed in the cutest baby voice, making Mel giggle as she watched Jo outline Niyah's body with the t-shirt pillow in the crib.

"And back away. 5, 4, 3, 2....." the crying died down shocking the hell out of Mel. "Are you fucking serious?" Mel whispered. Grabbing the baby monitor, the two snuck out of the room. "Yeah bitch. I cussed my mama smooth out when she finally showed me that shit. Like you was just gonna let me suffer for what?" Jo confessed as they walked to the kitchen, the dogs still in the way. "You two outside. I can actually sit down and SIP on some tea. Oh shit," Mel breathed out feeling herself want to cry. "Go ahead and let it out. I told you I did." "Oh my God this is so fucking haaaaard." "Mmhmm," Jo hummed.
