I changed the request a little bit i hope you still like it!

Ever since nct introduced sungchan and Shotaro to the group things had been a little different.

While the new boys were excited to have debuted, they were still unsure of where they belonged. They weren't ever put into a set group and didn't know what that meant for their futures.

It was hitting sungchan a little harder than Shotaro.

While they lived with the members of 127, they were never involved with their schedules. Sungchan hated to admit it, but he was jealous that they got to work, and he just sat at home all day unsure if he was even considered a member or not.

It started to take a toll on him when the group would go out and leave him all alone in the dorms.

It had been a few months and all of the members had been called to a meeting.

"hello everyone, we won't keep you long, but we have some exciting news to share."

The boys listened carefully wondering what the news was.

"so we are starting a new subgroup, called NCT J, it will be our Japanese subgroup containing Yuta, Shotaro, and three new Japanese trainees we've hired."

"wow! A new group? That's crazy!" haechan said smiling at Shotaro.

"you mean I'm gonna be in a fixed group?" Shotaro asked excitedly.

"yes that's correct! We would like to start promotions very soon but first we will be moving you two into a separate dorm with the other trainees so you can meet the other boys. We'd like to have you all settled by next week.

They all cheered for their new member excited that he would finally be placed in a fixed group.

Sungchan clapped but inside he couldn't help but feel sorry for himself. Was he seriously going to be the only member without a fixed group?

The meeting was over quickly, and they were released as the Japanese line went to start setting up their dorms.

Sungchan walked slowly down the hall feeling awful. He started to think he wasn't good enough to be in the group. He had worked so hard to be apart of the group and now he was questioning if all his hard work was worth it.

He snuck off to his room avoiding the others. He closed his door and slid down to the floor feeling drained.

He was stuck in his own head, and he could tell he was working himself up. his breathing picked up quite quickly and his chest ached. Hi head was pounding with horrible thoughts as his walls closed in around him.

He curled in on himself hugging his knees tightly as tears began to drip down his cheeks. He sucked in short shaky breaths, but he was having trouble keeping it up.

"i...I'm not good enough...i...I should never have b...become a trainee..." he cried into his knees, his nails scratching at his jeans.

The rest of 127 had begun to do their normal daily activities, taeil and haechan were cuddled up watching a video while mark and johnny played a video game on the tv. Taeyong was cooking in the kitchen with jaehyun and Jungwoo close by to help him.

As they were relaxing doyoung looked up from his book hearing something from down the hall.

"what is it hyung?" haechan said noticing doyoung spring up.
