A Recusant Relationship

First Day

5am

"I'll be back soon, we need to get there as fast as possible please, we're running late"
You say to the driver

"No problem miss"
The driver says

*You knock on the door of the mansion*
Your anxiety runs high as you wait for someone to answer, this will be the first time meeting Cate.
This is the woman who inspired you to get into the film industry, even if it is just working on set for now. Your work friend helped you in this next step of personal assisting for filming. It's not too much of a difference from what you have been doing on set, it's just more personal; Helping your assigned cast member for the duration of filming with whatever they may need. 

The door opens, there she is.
Cate the great, looking even more beautiful in person than you could ever have imagined.

"Hi Miss Blanchett, I'm Y/N your assistant while we film"
You say hiding your nerves with a smile

"Yes I'm aware, nice to meet you"
She says slightly abrupt, you brush it off, maybe it's because she's running late

"Nice to meet you too. Shall we head to the car?"
You ask in an upbeat tone

"I suppose we have to, we're running late after all"
She says in a similar tone to before

"Do you need a hand with carrying anything?"
You ask

"Please"
She says as she hands you a bag.

You head to the car & begin the drive to set.
The only words exchanged are between you & the driver. Cate looks at her phone the whole way, not looking impressed.

7am

While Cate is in makeup once you finish your tasks you fill in your friend about the mornings interactions

"I always heard good things about her but from what you've said she sounds like a bit of a bitch"
She says

"I don't think she's a bitch, it could have been that she was running late, she could be stressed  or she might just not like me"
You say

"Now how could she not like you, you're honestly the sweetest person I've met in this industry"
She says back to you

"Maybe she just doesn't like the look of me, I don't know"
You say

"We need actors on set in ten minutes everyone!"

"Here we go"
You say

"Good luck"
Your friend says with a smirk

"Shh you"
You say as you walk away

*you knock on Cates makeup trailer*

"Yeah"
You hear a voice

You open the door
"Hi Miss Blanchett, they need you on set in then minutes. Is there anything you need beforehand?"
You let her know & ask

"Alright. It's a bit late for needing anything"
She says in a short tone.

You don't know what her problem is, it's slightly pissed you off now
"Alright"
You say in a similar tone as her, realising how bad that could be afterwards, quickly speaking again
"If you need anything at all just let me know or message me"
You say nervously before basically running away.

"That was rude of me wasnt it?"
Cate says to her makeup artist

"A little"
Her makeup artist says

"Fuck"
Cate says disappointed in herself 

"Places everyone"
The director calls

Cate passes you
"I apologise for earlier"

You watch her walk to her place & stand back.
Confused by this woman as you watch her.
