The next two weeks that followed were, in Sakuras opinion, slow. She was on a strict no chakra consumption radar and so all she really did was train tai-jutsu and watch interrogations. And apart from Anko she hadn't talked to anyone else.

Her and Hakus house had been destroyed and while Haku had been taken in by one of his Jonin friends Sakura was in temporary housing. (Hakus friend had also offered her a stay but she refused and she also refused to let Haku stay with her in housing when he could have a nice place to stay) and because the long haired boy was on a mission during the invasion and during the Exams (he had come back very injured the little shit) they had not yet spoken. To be fair, Sakura was very afraid of what the boy would think of her if he heard about the exams. And so she stayed clear.

And she hadn't seen any of her teammates yet either (apart from the occasional glance at Sasuke when it looked like he was about to say something back but she walked away). Rumour had it that Naruto was off to find the new Hokage since the fourth had his Chakra coils damaged in the fight between Orochimaru and so had retired. She had scoffed when she found out about it too. Not about the Hokage retiring but about Naruto being the chosen one tasked with finding the new Hokage.

And Sakura had been admitted to a psych ward (Ankos doing) but escaped. So all for all, for Sakura it had not been all too interesting.

But of course that Changed when Naruto was back, with a busty lady he said was the new Hokage. The woman had not spoken to Sakura, until she had caught her watching some Medic-nins in the hospital. And very frankly, Sakura was afraid of her.

"Hey." The woman called, raising her eyebrow at the pink haired menace. "Your the blonde demons teammate right? What was the name..." she stopped, scanning the girl (making her self conscious and a little nervous) until she seemed to remember. "Sakura, right? Beautiful name, it suits your hair." The Hokage paused, to watch Sakura for a bit. And what she saw was a young women with issues, but more potential then anything else. Internally Sakura was screaming, but on the outside she kept a calm composure. Her eyes were unwavering and her slips sealed. She would not speak unless spoken to. She had learned that much from Ibiki. "I've seen you before, watching the Medics. Are you interested in becoming a medical ninja?" Tsunade finally asked. Having enough of stalling.

"Well, Lord Fifth. I'm not going to sugar coat this, since I really do not have the time. I was fortunate enough to be born with perfect chakra control. Check my files if you wish. And posses both Yin and Yang chakra types and would be a perfect Medic-nin. However, i do know that you are the Hokage and as such would not have the time to teach a student, which is why i have not asked this of you. I do not have ambitions to become a Medic. I will become a Medic. Whether you teach me or i have to learn through text books."

Tsunade pondered her answer for a minute. She had spoken with complete formality but still her speach made Tsunade pissed off. Maybe because Sakura was so cocky, or maybe it was that Tsunade had already read her file and found her to be the most capable Kunoichi of her generation. She had so much potential, and if her file was right, she would grow to be someone who rivalled Kage. And Tsunade herself had already decided to take the pinky on as an apprentice. And a part of her thought that Sakura already knew that. "Your training as a Medic-nin with me starts in a week. After you recover from the Chakra damage of course. Seven AM in my office. With all of your assets, I expect you to be able to have learned everything i have to teach in three months. Don't be late." The Hokage shunshined off, mad at herself for falling into the game that Sakura had set. But she was incredibly happy too, the girl was not strong yet. She was only a bud of a kunoichi, but when Tsunade was done with her...she'd rain fire on her enemies. Tsunade was sure of it.

It was two weeks into her training with Tsunade when Sakura finally got a day off. She had thought about making her rounds to visit her friends when she decided that she'd rather not socialise on this fine morning. She was walking through the civilian trade district when two dark haired shinobi cornered her in a clothing shop. The two shinobis names were Itachi and Shisui Uchiha. And both of them looked tired and slightly impressed.
