In a private jet, high above Asia, two close friends messed with each other to pass the time and calm nerves.
"So... how do you think they're going to react to our quirks?" This was Alora Gold, she had waist long, strawberry blond hair which she dyed the tips of teal. She had a pair of light blue jeans and a white, off-the-shoulder blouse on. Her foot continuously tapped against the floor of the jet as an escape for her jitters.
"I don't know, I mean, mine is pretty intense to the squeamish..." Replied Harrison Jacobs with a small chuckle. He had messy brown curls framing his face, as unruly as ever, not even brushed for the day, yet they still seemed to fall perfectly. He was wearing a black hoodie with white jeans on to match. Unlike his counterpart, he didn't seem half as worried about the move.
"Hopefully they won't make any judgments because of it... unlike our last class." Alora looked out of her window, her eyes glazing over accompanying the look of longing that overtook each of her features.
"My quirk is very powerful though, so I think I'm set." The brunet's answer was cocky and playful as he eyed his childhood friend, knowing just how worried she was. He knew she was an overthinker without fail, but he also knew how to distract her.
"You say that like my quirk isn't as powerful as yours..."
"Well..."
"Harry..." And with that, he knew she'd fallen into the trap. They both knew what was coming next due to the sheer amount of times it had happened before. It was always Harry who started and ended it, but Alora sure as hell didn't go down without a fight. "You know, Harry, I hate you. So much."
"Aww, I love you too!" The mock admiration in his voice was enough to make Alora gag. She couldn't stand him when he did this. No matter when, where or how many times it had happened before, it always pissed her off just as much.
"I'm not joking." She replied, her voice dripping with venom. She knew she was just playing into his game, but it was a force of habit at this point.
"That's what you said last time... and the time before that, and before that and before-"
"I get it, I get it. For once in your life, can you shut up?" She asked, knowing the request would be in vain.
"Alora, you know me, if I ever stopped talking, the world would stop spinning!" There it was, the overconfidence she oh so hated.
"Why did I think that that would work? It's never worked before." She sighed, running her hand through her hair. With her eyes closed, Harry took the opportunity to reach into his jacket pocket and pull out a piece of parchment, a quil and a vile of his blood. Alora opened her eyes at the sound and her breath quickened almost immediately. "No- Harry, don't... I'm sorry."
As Harry puts his supplies back into his pockets, he raises his eyes to meet Alora's, "That's what I thought."
Alora, already frustrated from earlier, decided to snap back at him to stop him from winning like he does every time, "If you do that infront of our new classmates, I will drop you from 50 feet in the air."
"I won't. I'm not that evil." The not-so-gentle giant counters with a small chuckle.
Alora knew that trick, and she wasn't going to fall for it. She knew to prepare to drop him that 50 feet at some point in the next two and a half years. "Right..."
