I woke up from a nap since someone was spamming me with messages, it was Brian. He was rambling about something that went wrong with the party decorations, which I didn't care about, and that he wouldn't be able to pick me up. He still wanted me to go though, so I told him that I'd find another way to get there since I had nothing else to do. I already told my mom about it and she didn't really mind me going as long as someone went with me.
Today was the day of the party. I went through most of my wardrobe just to find an outfit that was okay. I wore a baggy lavender t-shirt which was tucked into some white ripped jean shorts, a silver chain with two rose pins hung off the side of them, black thigh-high socks, lavender crocs with a few JimBits on it, white fingerless gloves, and a black beanie in case I got cold, although, a jacket would've been a better choice. I wasn't gonna leave until about 5:30 which was 30 minutes after the party started so I killed some time by playing video games. I kind of wanted to stay home and play video games all day since I was already doing it but I knew that if I did, I would've wasted the effort of messing all my clothes up to find something for no reason.
"Eugh... I have to go now." I turned the console and TV off, yawning as I stood up.
Blood rushed through my brain which made me lightheaded and my lower back cracked as I stretched to my side. San was outside waiting for me since she volunteered to come with me, and she was gonna have a ride back home. I told my mom I was leaving and she gave me some pepper spray before I left like I was gonna run into some crackheads on the way there or something.
"Bye, Mom."
"Bye, Honey."
I closed the door behind me and began walking with San to the subway station. We were talking about the messages Brian had sent me since she was curious to see what he said. I hummed while she went through each message carefully, her facial expression always changing every 5 messages or so. I decided to check her outfit out. She wore some black leggings, a black and grey striped sweater, black vans, and had some lip gloss that shimmered in the sunlight. She always dressed casually, and I won't lie, she always made it look good so no one could complain about it.
"He seems very desperate to get your attention, hah." She smirked as she handed me my phone back.
I groaned, "Oh well, he's gonna have no luck with me."
"Aw, not even gonna give him a chance?"
"Nope. Your little dreams on Trian will never come to life." I motioned my hands like a rainbow as I used the old ship name she and Wari had come with together.
05:42 pm
San whimpered and pouted as she wiped a fake tear away. We got into a booth of the subway train and made our way to the host's party. I don't think we knew him, or at least me, San knew almost everyone that Brian hung out with. I, who found my way into another social circle, don't know and don't care.
05:59 pm
We could already hear the music down the street and people were outside drinking and smoking. We were literally all teens, this is the last that someone as sophisticated as me should be.
"Let's find Brian and just chill around here somewhere here since no one's smoking here," San said into my ear since the music was booming, I'm surprised the cops haven't been called with the amount of noise they're making.
I nodded and we looked for him, I messaged him to let him know that we got here and we're looking for him. He didn't seem upset that I brought San and he told us to find him in the kitchen.
"Woah, yo, Isia." San gave him a high-five and began talking to him.
I stood beside them awkwardly since I, despite seeming and being a popular social butterfly, didn't really do parties.
Brian appeared eventually which actually made me sort of relieved, "Hey, Tabi. Glad you could make it."
"Hi..." I waved back and Isia seemed to notice me.
"Damn, Tabibami? That's you? I didn't even recognize you."
"Yup, it's me. Hi, Isia. Nice to see you again."
"Nice to see you too."
San threw her hands up, "Alrighty, let's drink!"
"That's what I'm sayin'!" Brian grabbed my wrist and we headed to the island where plastic shot glasses and normal cups were, as well as some alcohol.
I waved my hands frantically after escaping Brian's grip, "U- Uh, sorry... I'd rather be sober for the night. My mom will kill me if I come home looking like an alcoholic."
"Come on, bro. Just one and I'll make sure you don't take anymore." San nodded her head and used her hands as she spoke which psychologically and scientifically meant she was being honest.
I sighed, "No... I'm good."
Isia huffed, "Come on, dude. Have some fun. When's the next time you'll do something like this? I know you still the same as before, but enjoy yourself."
Brian poured some drinks for us, "Come on, you know you want it."
I looked into his eyes, a hint of secrecy lit up in them as if he meant something else by it, "Fine... I'll kill all of you if I end up blacking out and waking up in someone's basement."
They cracked up as if I was kidding and we took one shot... then another, and another, and some more after that. This was the first time I've ever drunk alcohol like this. Sure, my mom and her boyfriend made me try beer and wine, but this was just too much for me to handle yet I stayed up anyway. My mind just felt really woozy and I was acting hysterical, I didn't even get to ask why I was being pulled upstairs by someone.
08:09 pm
Whatever, I'm tired anyway. Hopefully, they bring me to a bedroom so I can sleep.
