"I can't believe you right now!" The voice came from the corner. Captain sighed as he realized that Player and Veteran were fighting. It had all begun last game, when Veteran was the imposter.
Veteran had been chosen as the imposter, and as usual, Player had wanted to do tasks with him. Veteran had snapped at Player, and it had gone downhill from there. Veteran had ended up using Player as his last kill to win, and now was trying to apologize to an extremely upset Player.
"Dude, it wasn't personal! You know that!" Veteran told him, looking a bit annoyed but also worried.
"Then why did you snap at me in the first place!" Player asked, obviously angry and hurt.
"I told you I don't know! I felt so weird when that happened, and I don't know what came over me, Player." Veteran explained inpatiently.
Captain sensed a deeper fight was about to break out as Player opened his mouth to retort what Veteran said, and so Captain got in the middle of them, and kept them apart as he shook his head.
"Stop it you two! I can't have my bestie fighting another one of his friends!" Captain went for a lighter approach, trying to keep his normal obnoxiously happy and air-headed tone into his voice.
"Don't get in the middle of this, Captain." Player warned, visor flashing.
"Actually, I'm with Captain on this one. You two need to stop. Remember how close you two are? How much you've been through together?" Mother stepped forward, trying the sentimental play.
"Same. Besides, you and Veteran fighting is getting super duper annoying." Mr. Cheese commented. Thegentlemen gave him a look, and cleared his throat.
"I hate to say it, Mr. Player, but Captain, Mother, and Mr. Cheese all have excellent points." Thegentlemen said almost apologetically.
"I don't care! He went too far this time." Both Player and Veteran said at the same time.
"Why don't you just explain what happened. Maybe it's all just one big misunderstanding?" Captain suggested, throat getting tight as Player and Veteran glared at each other.
This had to work. It always worked! Whenever someone in the crew had a misunderstanding or needed to explain something, they flashbacked to what happened before, and usually it helped everything!
"No. I've got nothing else to say. I tried to explain everything, but Player refused to listen. I gotta log off now. Bye." Veteran said briefly. He then disappeared, the chat telling them that he'd logged off.
Player just also logged off in response.
Captain let his hope diminish, and he felt his face fall. He didn't care. His two closest friends were fighting, and it sucked.
