Chapter 1: Part 1: See No Evil (Daily life)

A-AH!

"Ahem! Good morning, everyone! I hope these speakers are loud enough for you to hear, or else, I'll have to turn them up even louder, bahahaha!"

I... I woke up in my bed, the same one as when I first got here.

I can't even remember getting to my bed, but I guess it makes sense. Everything yesterday feels like such a blur...

Killing game? Being trapped here? Class trial? It just doesn't feel real...

I was half-hoping that it was all just a bad dream or some nightmare but... I'm still here so I guess this is all real...

I'm... actually in a... killing game? And I have to kill someone to escape...

I... I shouldn't be thinking about that right now, I should get up.

I get up fully to see a small tablet on my bed, laying right beside me.

When did this get here? Did someone put this here while I was sleeping? Talk about creepy...

I grabbed it and the screen turned on automatically.

On the screen was a list of rules. Were these the rules they were talking about?

I began to read through the list.

Rule 1: You must stay within the dormitory at all times, failure to do so will result in immediate punishment.

Rule 2: Without any real restrictions, you're allowed to go to most places in the dormitory.

Rule 3: Any attempts to attack your headmasters (Shifty and Lifty) will result in immediate punishment.

Rule 4: During Nighttime, it is required to stay in your bedrooms until daytime, unless you are planning/committing a murder, failure to follow this rule will result in immediate punishment.

Rule 5: If you attack another student (with the intention to murder), you must follow through on it. Failure to do so will result in immediate punishment.

Rule 6: Once 3 or more participants discover a body, a class trial will begin shortly after, everyone who is still alive at that point must participate in the trial.

Rule 7: At the class trial, the remaining students must figure out who the blackened among them is.

Rule 8: If the blackened is discovered, they alone will be punished.

Rule 9: If the blackened gets away with their crime, everyone else shall be punished, and they alone will be allowed to leave.

Rule 10: You are only allowed to kill 2 of your fellow students at a time.

Rule 11: The Killing School Dormitory will only end when there are 2 spotless or one blackened left.

Rule 12: Additional rules may be implemented, or old ones may be subject to change.

I can feel a shiver run down a spine as I read the last rules. We were supposed to follow all these?

They were being serious about this...killing game. They even wrote a bunch of rules for it...

Also, their names are Shifty and Lifty?

Well, there's really nothing I can do about it, not right now, at least. I should just leave this room already.
