I watch Mime run away, covering his mouth from the horror of seeing Mole's body.
I...Mole is...dead...he's...actually dead?
As I watch him leave, an announcement goes off.
"A body has been discovered! Now, after a certain amount of time has passed, the class trial will begin!" I hear Lifty's voice ring out in the halls.
Body? So Mole really was...dead.
Mole...one of our friends, someone who helped us and calmed us down when we were panicking.
He's dead?
I...I don't understand, who did this?
I stand there, just staring at his body, not knowing what to do when I hear footsteps coming closer.
I whip my head around to see Flaky, Handy, Giggles, Petunia, Flippy, and Toothy coming towards me.
As soon as they see the body, I see their reactions change.
Flaky looks terrified, Giggles starts shaking, Petunia begins to scratch her fur aggressively, Handy looks away, Toothy covers his eyes and Flippy starts breathing heavily.
"I-I...I need to go." Flippy stammered as he ran away from us.
We watched him leave as Sniffles and Pop came towards us and Mole's body.
Pop looked at the body in disbelief as Sniffles adjusted his glasses before he said, "Holy shit..."
"Wha...What the hell is this!?" Petunia asked.
"A-Ah...Ahhh...AHHHHH!!" Giggles screamed.
"OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH!" Toothy shouted, still covering his eyes.
"M-Mole...i-is he...?" Pop stammered.
"I fucking knew it, I knew someone would fall for the motive." Handy said.
"I-Is...he b-breathing? M-Maybe he isn't-" Flaky muttered.
"Does he look alive to you?" Handy asked.
"W-Well...no..."
I still can't believe this, Mole was dead.
As we stood around the body, Shifty and Lifty appeared in front of us.
"Geez, what the hell are you guys doing? You can't just stand there and act all surprised, we did say this was a killing game." Shifty stated.
"W-What did you guys do!?" Giggles yelled.
"Us? We did nothing, one of you started the killing game!"
"O-One of us...?" Pop muttered.
"This cannot be real." Sniffles mumbled.
"Cry about it all you want, you'll still need to investigate for the class trial."
"C-Class trial?" Petunia asked.
"Didn't we tell you at the beginning of this game? Once someone is murdered, you'll have a short period to investigate before the class trial begins!"
"So we have to investigate and find evidence?" Handy asked.
"Yep! This is the part where you go around, looking for the clues to find the killer and a bunch of other boring crap like that."
"K-Killer? You guys probably did it! N-No way one of us did it." Toothy remarked.
"Us?" The twins said at the same time.
They look at each other for a moment before laughing maniacally.
