Evanescent: Remastered

Chapter One

"Why don't you go take a swan dive off of the roof of the building, and pray for a quirk in your next life?" Katsuki laughed, roughly placing his hand on Izuku's shoulder.

Izuku stared at him with wide eyes, his fists clutching the sides of his uniform.

"Come on.. just say something.." Someone behind Katsuki said. Katsuki rolled his eyes. "It's all he ever does.. come on guys. Let's go." Katsuki scoffed, and he removed his hand from Izuku's shoulder. Izuku's mouth quivered.

Izuku watched Katsuki leave the classroom, then exhaled sharply once Katsuki closed the door.

He looked at his desk, where there was a vase with a spider lily in it and multiple death threats written on the top of the desk.

He picked his backpack up from the ground, and swung it around his shoulders.

He gave his desk one last look, then turned around and left.

On his way out of the school grounds, he looked around the building, and spotted a koi fish pond where there was a notebook floating in it.

There were koi fishes nibbling at the cover. "That isn't food.. idiot.." Izuku muttered, shooing the fish away from his notebook with one hand.

He picked up the notebook and read the front cover.

Hero analysis for the future

Izuku frowned.

It was completely soggy, and probably ruined most of the pages. He had written in it throughout the years, jotting down important notes of heroes weaknesses and strengths. He thought maybe something in the notebook could help him become a hero. But now.. maybe not.

Perhaps Katsuki was right. Maybe Izuku would have been better off dead in this world.

Then Izuku shook his head. Katsuki always told him things like that. If he did kill himself, that would only be a victory for Katsuki.

Izuku wouldn't give Katsuki that satisfaction.

He left the school, sighing. He was right. As he flipped through the pages, the pencil marks had been smudged and were now difficult to read. Izuku would have to buy a new notebook.

Izuku felt fury rise inside of him. Katsuki ruined his notebook. He was the one who purposely threw it out the school window. And it just had to land in a pond.

Stupid Kacchan. Izuku thought, tightening the grip on his notebook.

He continued to silently walk home, thinking about how much he hated Katsuki.

A scrawny man named Toshinori Yagi was walking through downtown, drinking from a plastic soda bottle.

He heard distant yelling behind him, and he turned around.

There was some greenish sludge charging towards him, holding a purse. A lady was screaming behind him. "THEIF! THEIF!"

Toshinori groaned. A classic purse snatcher. Like he hasn't seen hundreds of those already.

He jumped out of the theifs way. He sighed then walked a short distance away from the public. He would just have to take a few minutes to chase after the villain.

No big deal.

Toshinori transformed into his buff form, where the public recognized the form as All Might.

All Might began to chase after the villain, who soon realized he was being chased after All Might.

Izuku was walking under a bridge. By this time, the notebook had dried up slightly.
