第二十八章: Their Past

A/N: The majority of this chapter is a flashback of the past.

"Excusez-moi monsieur, voulez-vous plus de vin?" The blond man looked up to see a red-haired girl holding a bottle of wine. (Translation: Excuse me sir, do you want more wine?)

"N'êtes-vous pas un peu trop jeune pour travailler ici?" The man asked but giving her his glass to fill with wine anyway. (Translation: Are you not a little too young to work here?)

"Je t'assure que je n'ai l'air que jeune" The girl replied with a wink. (Translation: I assure you that I only look young) Her hands going to pour the glass with wine. The man laughed, stroking his blond beard.

"Bonne soirée monsieur" The girl said, leaving the table. ( Translation: Having a good evening, sir) The man nodded before taking a sip of his refilled wine. The man choked before falling over. The wine glass in his hand falling and shattering on the ground. Screams erupted around the room at the sight. 

Meanwhile, a girl with black hair and brown eyes walked out of the restaurant with a black-haired man. 

"That is definitely dead" The girl bluntly said, looking up from her book. The black-haired man holding the potted plant smiled at the girl. "Well, any living being brought out of its natural habitat and what its used to would respond in a similar manner." He responded. Her scarlet eyes staring at the plant again before looking up at her teacher. 

"Well, last night's hit will be our last together" The girl said causing her teacher to look at her. 

"You're leaving?" He asked. Shion nodded her head.

"It's been an interesting four years but alas, like that plant, this lifestyle is not one that I can endure. My treatment plan has changed and I require more clinical visits, which won't be doable considering how often we change locations." She said. 

"My, my first ever student leaving. I suppose you have become quite a master in the trade." The man responded.

"I'll see you around, shishou. I'll be leaving tonight. I would say to keep in contact but that's not something that can be done in your profession."  

Back in present time, Shion stayed nestled in Koro-sensei's robe while staring down at the Pacific Ocean. "After you left, I got another student." Koro-sensei said.

"I know, the one who double crossed you and led to you ending up in this position" Shion responded. "I don't know all the details about after you entered that lab except for anything that was written down in the files but there will be a compelling law suit to be filed against the government. All officials involved with that laboratory that authorized the experiment have all been killed. I have an entourage of lawyers preparing a case to make sure what they did to you won't happen again." 

"How did you find the files-" Koro-sensei said in shock.

"After I left, I assembled a group and the files were found during a mission."

"Nyufufu~ I've heard all about it, Kira" 

"I was unaware I was coined that until recently but yes"

"I've noticed that you've been busy since we parted ways" Koro-sensei snickered.

"Yes, now back to business, I have three options for you"

"Usui, what are you doing?!" The Class A History teacher shouted exasperatedly, staring at Reiko who sat at the opened window in the classroom. "Get back to your seat, class is about to begin" The teacher barked. Reiko seemed to ponder it for a moment. She made eye contact with Asano who was staring at her in shock. She gave him a wink before turning back to the teacher. 

"No thanks" Reiko said before falling backwards and out the window much to the shock of everyone else in the room. They entire class running to the window to see the girl free-falling to the ground before somersaulting mid-air and landing on her feet. She waved at the class before turning around and walking away. Her amber eyes looking up at a nearby security camera before she raised an eyebrow to taunt the person viewing the footage from the other side. 

Nagisa sighed while listening to Koro-sensei's math lesson. The class wasn't the same now that Reiko was gone and everyone felt it. It was like the missing piece to a puzzle. 

"Hey guys" Nagisa swore he could still hear her voice sometimes. It was almost like she was ther with them still. Wait....The blue-haired boy turned to see Reiko climbing through the opened window in the classroom. Her other classmates' eyes widening at the sight. 

"NUYA! Reiko-chan, you should be in class on the main campus! What are you doing here?!" Koro-sensei shouted. 

"What the principal doesn't know won't hurt him. They think I'm just skipping" Reiko explained before plopping down at her old seat next to Karma who snickered. 

"Aren't you going to get in trouble for skipping your oh so important classes?" The redhead asked only for Reiko to shrug. 

"Just means the faster I come back to Class E" Reiko responded.
