Tommy was sitting outside L'manburg, or where it used to be. Where the beautiful black stone walls used to stand, where the caravan lay inside those walls, and the declaration of independence was hung safely in a frame on one of the caravan walls. All the beauty of this nation, now turned into a crater once again. Tommy heard footsteps approaching him, startled by this Tommy flung his body around and took out his axe. Standing in front of him was Tubbo, his best friend, the one who had always been there for him. For the most part. Tubbo was startled by Tommy's actions and backed up a bit.
Tommy's eyes soften as he put his axe away. "Sorry Tubbo, I thought you might have been Dream or Techno or... anyone else." Tommy said, staring back out at the crater of what he once called his home. "Not in the mood to talk to anyone eh?" Tubbo said coming to sit by Tommy. "No, not really. You're the only exception I suppose," Tommy clutched his knees to his chest. Tubbo looked at his best friend, then at the massive crater. He sighed, "It's, it's gone forever now. Isn't it?" Tubbo said. Tommy was silent for a minute before he spoke. "I hate to admit it, but I'm afraid so. It's too far beyond repair now." he said.
Tubbo wrapped an arm around Tommy's shoulder causing him to look up at his friend. "Hey, it'll be alright! It always is remember?" Tubbo said with a sad smile. Tommy went silent once more. "Not in exile." he said. Tubbo's eyes widened, tears filling them to the brim. He pulled Tommy to him and wrapped him in a warm hug. "Tubbo what the he-" "I'm so sorry Tommy! I didn't want to hurt you but I felt so pressured! It felt like I wasn't given a choice! Let alone my own opinion on the matter!" Tubbo yelled.
It pained Tommy to see Tubbo upset like this. The boy was sniffling and sobs were being forced out of his throat. "I-I didn't mean anything I said to you back then!" He stuttered. "Tubbo-" "Your not selfish! You are my friend, my best friend! The disks do matter! Everything matters! TOMMY I'M SO SORRY!" Tubbo cried, it almost seemed like he was crying for help.
Tommy hugged back after a moment. "Tubbo," Tommy's voice calmed. Tubbo's face was currently buried in Tommy's chest so he only replied with a small hum. "Tubbo it's not your fault I was in exile. It never was your fault. It was Dream's. You don't need to apologize to me." Tommy said then let out a slight chuckle. Tubbo looked up at his friend confused, his tear stained face still saddened. "If anything I should be the one apologizing. Tubbo I've always been a. . .a misfit if you will. And sometimes I say things I never mean. And this whole time I've always regarded you as my sidekick, but Tubbo that's not the case. It's always been me and you against the world. Neither of us are the sidekick or the hero, we're just us. Ya know?" Tommy said, "So let me say this. Tubbo, I'm the one who's sorry." Tubbo pulled back so he could see Tommy's face. He had a saddened expression with a smile on his face, tears streaming down it. Tubbo smiled, he pulled himself back into Tommy's warm embrace. " You didn't do anything wrong, but even so, I forgive you. For everything."
-This was a little short, sorry about that-
