Milly Smith

Today was a busy day, the girls are here and there preparing for the new family that will come to visit us. I am calm, holding my teddy bear and sucking my pacifier just looking at all this commotion, it's even funny the girls fighting over some accessories.

I've already agreed that it's almost impossible for a family to adopt me, I'm getting older and no one wants me. But its alright! I have my teddy bear and my pacifier, I am not alone.

- Mimi, won't you get ready? - Aunt Nana, one of the helpers, approached my bed where I was sitting, traveling in my thoughts.

- Ah, I'm coming.- I said muffled because of the chpeta.- I'm lazy...-  she smiled at me and walked away, going back to smoothing a girl's hair.

Sometimes I end up speaking badly, even without knowing it, some people call me names because of it, but I end up speaking without even realizing it.

- It's no use preparing, nor will it be added, freak.- Emili spoke from behind me, and some laughed at what she said. I dropped my head sadly.

- Emili! Stop now.- Aunt Nana scolded her, but she shrugged and headed towards the bathroom.

I didn't want to be there anymore, so I packed my little things and grabbed the clothes we all wore the same, some hygiene items and went to take a shower, a little upset at her words.

I didn't understand why people said that to me, I'm just a normal girl like them. But why are they like that to me?

- I think it's better to let it go.- I said, wanting to cry, but I held back the crying and went to finish the shower. I took a quick shower, washed my hair and brushed my teeth. I put on my outfit which was a very nice dress.

- Aunt Nana... do you fix my hair? - I asked when I left the bathroom.

- Of course, come here.-  She gave a beautiful smile and started to fix my hair. My hair was down, but I had a braided root on the side of my head. I thanked the aunt and left smiling, I was happy for the girls, they were going to find a family. I was looking at those big girls on the stairs that led to the room where there were already some couples talking to the younger children.

From a distance, I saw three men in suits, were they frowning and looking angry? A blonde stared at me...my lord, I'm getting out of here. When I finally finished descending the stairs, I headed into the garden.

- Why aren't you there with the others? - said the headmistress, Naya, looking at me curiously.

- A-ah, I don't want to! - he said smiling at her.

- Alright young lady, but don't stay here all the time. And I know you don't like these visits, but try talking to one of these people! None of them will judge you.- she said stroking my hair. I just nodded my head watching her walk through the main gate.

- Why did you run away from there? - a thick voice spoke scaring me.
