Last Trip: Her 30 Years Old Rule

Take Off

Maingay na kalsada.

Bus at jeep na nag uunahan sa mga pasahero.

Mga batang hamog na namamalimos.

Mamang pulis na humahabol sa isang menor de edad na magnanakaw.

Matandang naghahanap sa kanyang mga apo.

Dalawang babaeng nakikipag unahan sa pagsakay sa isang taxi.

Baklang sumisigaw, umiiyak at nagmamakaawa na wag iwanan ng teen-ager nitong kasintahan.

Mamang sinisigaw ang tindang balot.

Grupo ng kabataang lalake na nakikipag tawanan.

Mga bar at restobar na maingay na nagpapatugtug.

Sa kabila ng ingay sa paligid ay may dalawang nilalang na nag uusap o tamang sabihin na nagsisigawan ang nangingibabaw.

"What?"

"You heard it right! I am moving on. Hindi, naka move on na nga ako. And listen to this I have a date tomorrow. Excuse me." She run away from him and storm inside a certain coffee shop.

She sit in the corner and order a coffee. She was shaking. She can't even hold the mug without spilling its content. She was a klutz. But when she meet that guy she became worst. Nadoble ang pagiging walking disaster niya.

"Don't walk away from me!" hearing that voice made her heart skip a beat, her knees became weak and her hands are shaking.

Nilapag niya ang tasa at tinitigan ito ng nakataas ang kilay.

"We really need to talk. And don't tell me about that date thing with the other guys. It makes me sick."

"It's good."

"What's good? Dating with the other guys?" He asked with a frown on his face.

"No, you being sick. I like that."Hindi niya naubos ang kape at iniwan ang bayad sa mesa at dali daling umalis.

"I said don't walk away! Stop being a hardheaded Dash! Come on talk to me."

"I'm done talking to you! Nasabi ko na lahat sayo doon sa isla. Diba nga patay na patay ako sayo noon. Halos nga itapon ko ang sarili ko sayo, diba? Para akong asong naglalaway sa isang buto! Aso!"

"Dash." hinawakan siya nito sa braso na agad naman niyang kinuha.

"At wag mo nga akong hawakan. Naririndi ako kapag nahahawakan mo ako." she shouts back at him.

"Nahawakan na kita sa lahat ng parte ng katawan mo tapos ngayon mandidiri ka? Let's stop this nonsense and talk to me." pagsusumamo nito sa kanya.

"Oo nga no? You ravish me in that fucking island. You touch me everywhere. And what the worst is hinayaan kita. Hinayaan kita kasi akala ko ikaw na yun. I thought you were that guy. And i guess I was wrong."

"That night was—."

"Oh, forget about that night! You also said it was wrong right? Ikaw ba ang nawalan. Ikaw ba?" Mabilis ang kanyang mga hakbang. Hindi niya alam kung saan siya patungo. She really needs to be alone.

"I'm sorry.."

"Your sorry can't heal everything! And why are you following me? Why are you following me like some kind of an idiot? Why."

She gained all her remaining strength.  And asked the most crucial question.

"Bakit, mahal mo na ba ako?"

She sigh deeply and stared at him with longing and pain. He stared at her without a word he takes a step closer.

But knowing him. She knew.

"No. Don't walk closer. " she said and take a step back.

He was about to answer but she stopped him.

"Don't answer my question. Alam ko na. Gets ko naman e. Ang di ko lang ma intindihan ay kung bakit? Bakit ang sakit sakit?"

He take another step and she pushed him.

"Simula ngayon layuan mo na ako. Lalayuan na kita. Madali lang naman yun sa iyo diba?"

She raise her arms and shouted

"Answered prayer! Diba?"

"Just listen to me Dash!" he pleaded

"No! And don't move closer. If you take another step.." May bumikig na kung ano sa lalamunan nito. She was so close in crying and let her emotions fill her. "... I swear I will never let you go. Hindi kita lalayuan.  I will cling unto you forever."

He stood their shocked. Before he could say anything she immediately get in the parked taxi.

She thought for a second that he will follow her. But she always thought wrong. She always does.

What happens back there was the result of her foolishness. And for you to understand how they meet. Why she keep running away from that guy she deeply in love with. And to understand the whole story. You have to go back from where it started.
