Wonwoo spent his day just laying around like a sloth or listening to some music while doing chores to get him out of boredom and also the nervous feeling inside him. He didn’t want Mingyu to know just yet until it is confirmed tomorrow. He hid the tests in a drawer with a lock on it and the key, he placed it in his wallet.

Wonwoo didn’t know where to hide the key so the only ‘safe place’ he could think of is his wallet because he knew that Mingyu would never search into his wallet unless he is said so. After Wonwoo was done with chores he laid lazily on the couch while scrolling through his phone before cooking dinner. Wonwoo knew how to cook a few dishes because of Mingyu’s help. Learning how to cook was a challenge for Wonwoo since he’s not the best cook and even if he did cook, the final product would end up either slightly good or bad.

Although Mingyu would cook for them most of the time, Wonwoo would volunteer to cook since he didn’t want to burden Mingyu. He knew that Mingyu would be tired coming back from work and sometimes he would work overtime causing him to come back later than dinner or even midnight. Mingyu is having his internship at a hotel, a grand hotel to be exact. It’s always busy at the hotel and not only that, he has reports to finish and Wonwoo knew that feeling really well.

The clock in the living room shows that it’s 6.10. Mingyu would be back around 6.40 sometimes later if he has to stay back in the kitchen. Wonwoo got up and decided to cook soft tofu stew and a side of grilled mackerel. Wonwoo was busy in the kitchen; he didn't realise that Mingyu was already home. He could hear footsteps approaching and the figure wrapped his arms around him.

“Hey babe.” Mingyu greeted while resting his chin on top of Wonwoo’s shoulder. “Hey.” Wonwoo smiled and turned his gaze to Mingyu, giving him a peck. “What are you cooking?” Mingyu asked while he scanned through the kitchen workplace and noticed that there was mackerel. Mingyu tilted his head with confusion and then Wonwoo said “Take a shower first, dinner will be done soon.” Mingyu nodded and went to take a shower, still in a confused state.

After Mingyu was done showering, he went to the dining area and took a seat while Wonwoo placed the food on the table then sat down. Wonwoo took his utensils and started eating happily while Mingyu just stared at him while furrowing his eyebrows. Mingyu’s eyes widened when he saw Wonwoo took a bite of the mackerel. ‘Is this really happening or am I tripping?’ Mingyu thought to himself and Wonwoo looked at him.

“Gyu, why are you not eating? Is the food bad?” Wonwoo asked and Mingyu shook his head. “No babe the food is fine! It’s just that….” Mingyu didn’t know how to continue this which made Wonwoo hummed. “Just what?” Wonwoo asked and Mingyu continued. “You cooked and ate mackerel hyung. You just ate fish and you have never eaten fish or any kinds of seafood.” Mingyu raised his eyebrows before continuing.

“You never liked the smell or taste of seafood and now this?” Mingyu questioned while pointing at his dish. “I just suddenly feel like eating fish.” Wonwoo shrugged and ate another bite of the mackerel. “Mhm it’s good.” Wonwoo smiled and continued eating his food, leaving a frozen Mingyu. ‘There’s definitely something wrong with him.’ Mingyu decided to shrug it off and eat his dinner.

After dinner was done, the couple washed the dishes and cleaned the place up. Mingyu was wiping the table when he saw Wonwoo rinsing the plates and bowls. When he was done wiping, Mingyu walked over to Wonwoo and pecked his cheek. “How are you feeling babe? Feeling better?” Wonwoo put the last plate aside and turned to Mingyu. “I feel fine now. Don’t need to be too worried baby, I’m really fine.” Wonwoo hugged the younger’s waist and gave him a reassuring smile.
