4 months later

Light snores could be heard and a dim night light lighting up the bedroom. Mingyu was having a nice dream and he subconsciously tried to reach out to Wonwoo in his sleep in order to hug him. His hand tried grabbing onto Wonwoo but he couldn't feel anything so he woke up.

Mingyu tried moving his hand around but still felt nothing but coldness and emptiness. He slowly opened his eyes and sat up. 'Where could he be?' Mingyu thought to himself before getting up to look for Wonwoo.

Mingyu first went to the bathroom in their room, no sign of Wonwoo. Then he proceeded to the other bathroom outside and peeped his head in, still no sign of Wonwoo. Walking with his lifeless body, Mingyu tiredly walked towards the living room. He then heard a thump coming from the kitchen and Mingyu instantly snapped out from his sleepiness.

Arriving at the kitchen, Mingyu immediately turned on the lights and there stood Wonwoo who had a stunned reaction plastered on his face. Wonwoo was frozen in his position, arms hugging himself and lips were in a thin line. Both of them stared at each tiger which resulted in a staring contest. Wonwoo was first to break eye contact when he let out a small 'oops' which made Mingyu look at the ramen cup which fell from the upper cabinet to the floor.

"Babe what were you doing?" Mingyu started the conversation and he squatted to get the ramen cup. "And on top of that, in the middle of the night. It's 3.30 in the morning!" Mingyu loudly whispered and Wonwoo looked down to his feet and started playing with his fingers. "I was looking for something to eat, I was hungry…. Beanie's hungry." Wonwoo said in a small voice, he felt guilty waking Mingyu up. Both of them have to wake up early for work but Wonwoo didn't feel as tired as Mingyu since Mingyu does most of the heavy work.

Before Mingyu could open his mouth, Wonwoo quickly cut him off. "I was about to cook myself some ramen since you were tired and I didn't want to bother you." Wonwoo quickly said, which made Mingyu sigh. "You could've woke me up if you need anything, I'll be there for you. I can cook you something up instead of ramen if you're feeling hungry. Just call me okay? Because it's my job to take care of both you and beanie." Mingyu lightly rubbed Wonwoo's baby bump which made the elder shed a few tears.

" Oh no hyung I didn't mean to make you cry. Did I sound mean? I'm so sorry babe." Mingyu quickly pulled Wonwoo into a bear hug and Wonwoo sniffled against the younger’s chest. "You're fine Gyu, I just f-felt happy when you said that which made me c-cry. Don't worry, i-its happy tears." Mingyu nodded and rubbed Wonwoo's head with his left hand and the other hand around his waist.

After a few minutes of them hugging, Mingyu let go of the hug and rubbed Wonwoo's tears from his eyes." Feel better now?" Mingyu asked which made Wonwoo nod. "Now, what does my kitty and kitten want to eat?" Mingyu gently rubbed the elder's arms while Wonwoo tapped on his chin, trying to think of something to eat. "Ramen." Mingyu let out a small laugh because of the way Wonwoo said. "You know instant ramen is not good for your health. How about something else, hmm?"

"Ramen." Wonwoo firmly said which made Mingyu pout. "Are you sure you want ramen?" Mingyu asked and Wonwoo nodded. "Alright, ramen it is. No more ramen for the rest of the week okay?" Mingyu gently cupped Wonwoo's cheeks and gave them a light squeeze which made Wonwoo groan. "Fine…" Wonwoo replied in defeat.

"Good boy." Mingyu let out a smile and pulled Wonwoo up. While the water was boiling, Wonwoo went to get some milk from the refrigerator. "Won, do you want anything added to your noodles?" Mingyu asked while pouring the soup packet into the boiling water. "Nope, just noodles." "Alright." Mingyu proceeded to cook the ramen while Wonwoo sat on one of the chairs, patiently waiting for his food to be ready.

"Here's your ramen." Mingyu put the bowl in front of Wonwoo and Wonwoo looked at the bowl of ramen with awe which made him clap his hands cutely. "Thanks Gyu you're the best." Wonwoo smiled before eating his noodles.

On the other hand, Mingyu was dying from all the cuteness that Wonwoo did, his nose scrunched when he smiled and the way he clapped his hands. Oh, Mingyu got a heart attack and he's not even complaining. He was this close to wanting to squeeze his boyfriend's cheeks and bite them.

Mingyu stared at Wonwoo with loving eyes, he's basically drunk in love and Wonwoo noticed that. "Kim Mingyu, are you high?" Wonwoo asked with a chuckle and Mingyu shook his head. "No, I'm madly deeply in love with you. You're too adorable." Mingyu teased which made the elder blush. Wonwoo could feel his cheeks burning up and he quickly shove a spoonful of noodles into his mouth.

"Aww, looks like someone is blushing? Are you shy hyung?" Mingyu teased him even more which made the elder groan in embarrassment. "I'm not blushing…. Stop it!" Wonwoo quickly buried his pink face onto his palms. "I just want to eat my ramen…." Wonwoo said in a small voice and Mingyu couldn't help but laugh at the elder's reaction. "Okay okay I'll stop teasing you. I can't resist teasing you because you're just too cute and also because I love you." Mingyu patted Wonwoo's head.

Wonwoo slowly uncovered his face and picked up his chopsticks. "Whatever…" he pouted before resuming eating. "Do you want some?" Wonwoo offered and Mingyu shook his head. "You can finish them all, I'm not hungry." Mingyu rested his head on one of the arms while waiting for Wonwoo to finish. "Wonwoo-ah, next time if you're hungry in the middle of the night, just wake me up okay? I'll fix something up for you. Believe me, it's not bothering me at all." Mingyu said. "Okay!" Wonwoo replied while he finished off his bowl of noodles.

Mingyu smiled all the way when Wonwoo was eating and it got him thinking, how can he look like a cute angel while eating. And he would rather give up sleep just to satisfy Wonwoo…… or so he thought.

Because of what happened on that night, for the next couple of weeks, Mingyu had to wake up every single night just to cook for Wonwoo and this has yet to stop. And Mingyu basically gave up on sleep. As the saying goes, a happy wife leads to a happy life.
