BAKUGO'S POV:

'It's all my fault.'

Those words rang out in my head moment after moment.

To make it all worse, I knew that the damn words were right.

Deku wouldn't be on the villain side if I didn't say what I said.

I thought he was dead.

I slammed the door closed as I entered the house. I was immediately met by the old hag's yelling, but I didn't have the strength to respond.

"I KNEW YOU HEARD ME KATSUKI!!!!" The old hag yelled, but I didn't respond again.

I heard her stomping over, but I just stood there with my head down like an idiot.

"WHAT THE HE- Katsuki?"

I slowly looked up to see the ha- my mum looking at me in shock.

"D-d-e-k" I tried to get out, but couldn't without choking up.

Tears started to pour down my face as she started to walk towards me.

She grasped me in a right hug as I broke down into her shoulder.

"I-I'm sorry Mum!!!" I cried out "I'm so s-so sorry!!!"

We ate dinner in silence after that, my consequences silencing me.

'Deku' I thought to myself. 'Where are you?'

NO ONE'S POV:

Inko Midoriya hadn't been doing too well lately, since her son's supposed death.

She didn't eat, didn't sleep, and didn't talk to anyone.

If it wasn't for Mitsuki, Inko would most certainly be dead due to her depression.

Every day she would walk into her son's room, and see the empty walls. The torn remnants of his once proud All Might posters.

She hadn't exactly been very close with Izuku since his diagnosis, but that still didn't stop her from caring.

She found it hard to talk with him, after what she said all those years ago. His unwavering desire to be a hero was a dagger of guilt, slowly and steadily twisting in her gut.

The day he left, she'd noticed how different he seemed. He almost seemed... happy?

Inko cursed herself for not intervening that day, for not questioning his attitude.

She hated how there was no body to weep over. It was almost like a cruel way to trick her into thinking he was still alive. Life's cruel attempt at giving her hope.

The Bakugo's played a large part in her recovery.

Mitsuki would check in on Inko every day, and even go as far as to force feed her.

However Katsuki did everything in his power to avoid her. It was always odd to her, as he was Izuku's best friend.

If Mitsuki invited (forced) Inko round for dinner, Katsuki would stay silent for the entire duration.

The day when the empty coffin was lowered, was the hardest day of Inko's life.

She wanted to run away and cry, to escape the horrible place and not read the gut reaching plaque.

However she couldn't. She knew that, and she stayed where she was.

It had been a long time since his funeral so when U.A requested her presence to talk about her son, she thought it a cruel joke.
