"Good news operators, today's your day off. Enjoy it." (Six over PA) "Since when did Six let us have days off?" (Castle) "Since Ela almost died... oh hi Mark." (Nathan) "Shut up." (Mute) "So, what do you guys wanna do today?" (Jyn) "Just chilling, playing PS4, and being lazy in general." (Bess) Everyone else nodded their assent. "Uh Taina... you mind going somewhere with me?" (Nathan) "Sure... where?" asked Caveira, feeling her face heat up. "Don't ask. I'm bringing you there because I consider you someone that can be trusted. Wear something casual, you won't avoid stares with your combat gear." (Nathan) "Uh, okay?" (Taina) But Nathan had already left to get ready. "Oh fuck it, looks like I'm going," said Caveira, then she noticed that half the mess hall was staring at her. "What?" Everyone just pretended to mind their own business, but when Caveira left, they kept asking each other whether they should follow them, just for a laugh.

"Alright, we're here," said Nathan, parking his car next to the sidewalk. Caveira got out and noticed the words etched above an iron gate: Blackgate Cemetery. "Uh... Nathan, why're we at a cemetery?" (Caveira) "I want you to meet someone. There's something I want to tell her." (Nathan) Caveira just said nothing, and followed him through the headstones. Little did they know, about a dozen other operators were watching them through an attacking drone. Nathan seemed to know his way around the cemetery, as he made his way through the maze of headstones, until he stopped in front of one. The headstone read:
Rest in Peace
Anastasia Komolova
You were the joy of our lives
May you feel no more pain on the other side of the rainbow
Nathan sat down cross-legged in front of the headstone. And then he spoke. "Hey Ana. Sorry for not visiting you these past weeks. Guess what? I've been recruited into Rainbow, along with my friends, if you will. You don't have to worry up there, I'm doing pretty well myself. I, uh... I also came here for another reason. Remember that promise we made, about moving on if one of us died?" At this point, Nathan pulls out the selfie of him with the blonde girl, who we now know as Anastasia. He sets it down on the headstone, and takes out a wooden carved souvenir. It looks like a man and a woman holding hands. Suddenly, he snaps it in two, separating their hands. He pockets the male half, and places the female half onto the photo. "You once asked me, if one of us died, who would I want it to be. If I could choose, I would still be the one to stay behind, because I don't want you to go through the pain of losing your other half. Okay?" A tear dripped onto the photo. Then another followed. And another.
The operators were speechless. Dokkaebi was on the verge of crying herself. Quite a few female operators felt emotional. Everyone else that didn't felt respect instead. Here was a kid that knew what it meant to lose someone they held dear. All Caveira could do was hug Nathan. After all, she'd lost a brother herself. Suddenly, he wiped his eyes and stood up. "Thanks for waiting for me Ana. I'll take care of myself, you have fun up there. Guess I'll see you when I see you." With one last glance at Ana's grave, Nathan left with Caveira. "You good?" (Caveira) " *sniff* Yeah, Can't believe you got to see me cry." "Well, there's a first for everything." They stayed silent for a while. "Say, do you wanna grab something to eat?" (Nathan) "Where?" "I know a good Chinese restaurant nearby. Ana and I used to eat there often. Then, we'll go to the track." "Track?"
"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. Today's Thursday Night Thunder at the local rallycross track." "You do rallycross?" "What did you think I modified my Stinger for?" "I don't know, bullying White Mask convoys with your squad?" Nathan let out a genuine chuckle, and replied, "Sometimes, yeah, but I'm also a big fan of modifying and racing cars. How about I find a day, and ask the other operators to pay a visit to my garage?" "Ooh, socialising, I see... anyways, did you mention a Chinese restaurant? But I don't know how to use chopsticks" Caveira proceeds to do her puppy eyes cute face. "Relax sweetheart, they have forks and knives, and you won't look out of place. Literally half the customers there don't know how to use chopsticks, so you won't be getting any stares. Shall we go?" "Sure."
Nathan guns the engine, and the two drive off. A few seconds later, some cars on the other lane drive off in the other direction. "Well, that kid just earned all of our respect and sympathy." (Hibana) "Hey Twitch, where's your drone?" (Mozzie) "Wait... I think I left it behind." (Twitch) Meanwhile, in the Kia, Nathan is laughing hysterically and saying, "They thought they could spy on us!" "What?" In response, Nathan holds up Twitch's drone. Caveira looks dumbfounded for a few seconds, then starts laughing as well. "Twitch, if you're watching the drone feed, listen: don't ever think of spying on me or shocking me again. You'll get your drone back when we arrive at Hereford Base, but for now, just to be safe..." Nathan promptly pulls off one of the wheels, then reaches inside and breaks one of the wires. "That should do it," he laughs, tossing it into the backseat. "And now, lunch. Let's hope there'a a table for 2." The camera follows the Kia Stinger driving off.
Whew! Next up, shit goes down, and someone's probably gonna die. Comment down below whether you me to kill off someone.
