Mina walked into the chatty building folding her umbrella in as it down poured outside. The gods must've known that a death has occurred because it was ugly outside. She went to the room where her family all stood while family friends and acquaintances came in to give respect.

"Mina what took you so long?" Mina's father questioned not looking very happy at the nineteen year old. Mina didn't have an excuse to why she was late to her own brother's wife's funeral, because she couldn't just say 'I didn't feel like getting out of bed' because apparently that's disrespectful.

Mina was the only girl out of three children. Her family was pretty wealthy due to the fact that her father ran a business and her mother designed clothes that are now seen all around the world. Mina was rarely around her parents practically was raised by her brothers and nannies. Her whole life she can only remember being sent to school, coming home to be locked in her room to study, and rarely having time to herself because she was forced to do extracurricular activities like ballet, piano and vocal lesson plus study sessions.

Her older brother Hyunjin and Kai tried to let her have fun whenever their parents weren't around wanting their sister to grow up with a somewhat normal childhood, but knew she would never be like the rest of the children her age.

After the service, Mina watched as Kai broke down into tears as he clutched onto his dead wife's body. Mina felt a pang in her chest, guilt, as she knew she should've been there for her brother. No matter how much she despised his wife, she was being a terrible sister.

"Mina" she heard her father's familiar Stern voice call her. She turned around with her arms crossed across her chest. "Hm" she hummed in response.

"How could you be so irresponsible? This was for your brother and you still couldn't have the courtesy to show up on time." He shouted drawing attention.

Before he could begin yelling again, mother stepped in, "honey why don't you two take this outside?" She had suggested.

Given no reply, he walked outside while Mina slowly trailed behind him. "I'll be honest. I didn't feel like showing up today, but I did because it was for my brother. I know so very selfish of me" Mina said flatly doing everything in her soul to hide her grin as she watched her father's face turn red in anger.

She loved watching him explode in anger because in her eyes he had no right to boss her around considering he was never there for her. She was in fact their last child, but bother her parents acted like Kai was the last born leaving Mina for the wolves.

Mina vividly remembered one year her parents promised to pick her up from ballet practice, but left her standing in the cold winter storm for 35 minutes waiting for them. She then ended up in the hospital the same night from a terrible virus she caught from exposure.

"Myoui Mina..." Her father trailed off angrily. He had paced the front porch of the building making himself angrier by the minute. His final straw was when Mina looked at her apple watch to check the time, "are you kidding me?! You have the nerve to show up late and then constantly check the time as if you have plans! I know you have nothing to do because you should be in school studying!" Her father screamed at the top of his lungs. He was losing it.

Inside the building Hyunjin watched Mina get scolded from the window. "Where's Mina?" Kai asked softly standing next to Hyunjin. His question was then answered as he heard his father yelling outside.

"Fuck" Kai mumbled. He grabbed his jacket making his way outside before his father could put his hands on her.

"Kai dad wouldn't hit her" Hyunjin said observing the scene. "He's been at it for a little over ten minutes now and hasn't touched her"

"Hyun that's because he's in public. He could care less about how she feels and I know this because I've protected her from him since she was born" Kai said before walking outside leaving Hyunjin alone.
