"What do you mean she's getting surgery!?!" I had just found out that Mina was stabbed and getting surgery from Sana who found out from Kai. No wonder she wasn't answering my calls.

"How long ago was this?" I panicked.

"About 12 hours ago" Sana responded. I just stood in the middle of the kitchen and stared at her. "It took you 12 hours to tell me that my girlfriend was stabbed?!"

"Chaeyoung chill out she's okay, she should be arriving any minute now" Sana said causing Chaeyoung to once again state at the older woman with disbelief. Right when she was about to protest the entrance doors opened and Mina walked in on crutches with Kai right behind her carrying their bags.

"Baby! Are you okay? Does it hurt? I knew you shouldn't have left. I missed you so much" I cried not wanting to hug or touch her afraid of hurting her so I stood beside her examining her weak, pale body.

"Give me a minute baby" Mina responded, "do you need anything?" I asked while fiddling with my fingers.

Mina didn't say much, but mumbled out, "Cuddles." And that's exactly what I did. After helping her get settled into the bed I laid in bed next to her keeping her body warm while she buried her face in my side. We both stayed silent, embracing each other's warmth. When I opened my eyes again I saw that the sky was a midnight blue, my eyes dashing over to the alarm clock as it read; 11:37pm.

"You alright?" Mina mumbled. She started to sit up and scrunched her nose as pain most likely filled her beat up body. "No no don't move. Do you need more medicine?" Once I gave her another dose of pain medicine she just laid in bed staring at the ceiling. I knew I shouldn't have let her leave me, she wouldn't look so miserable like she does now. The constant question 'what happened?' runs through my mind. No one told me what happened no matter how many times I asked. Sana ignored my question to talk about Mina's condition and as for Mina she won't speak at all unless asking about how I'm doing. When she's the one with scratches and bruises all over her body.

Throughout the days Mina has avoided any topics about her 'business trip.' She felt that if she ignored it and acted as if nothing happened then Chaeyoung would forget about it. But that was the exact opposite, it had caused the younger woman to worry more eventually pushing the Korean over edge.

"Mina." Chaeyoung stated dropping her silverware on the plate. They were in the middle of dinner in the dining room, just the two of them. Chaeyoung's tone had caused Mina to freeze her actions. "Watch your tone Chaeyoung", Mina said coldly causing Chaeyoung to look down at her lap.

Chaeyoung then called the woman again, but in a softer tone, "Unnie"

Mina then looked up giving the woman her full attention. "Why are you so cold lately? You change the topic everytime I ask what happens. You almost died and I wouldn't have even known!" Chaeyoung raised her voice. Tears streamed down her cheeks. Mina knew it was wrong of her to not call or check in, but she didn't want to tell Chaeyoung that she was gone because she murdered her own father.

"Chae..." Mina sighed before placing her hands in her hair. The older woman then stood up limping her way to the other side of the table, grabbing her girlfriend's hand and directing her to the sofa.

Mina sat on the couch placing Chaeyoung on her lap facing towards her. "Baby I don't want you to be worried about me." Mina started and placed her hands on both sides of Chaeyoung's face caressing her cheeks gently.

"But-" chaeyoung started. "Shh, let me speak baby" Mina cut the woman off.

"I'm here with you aren't I?" Chaeyoung nodded, "I might not be functional at the moment, but aren't I in one piece?" Another nod, "so you don't have to panic and worry. I know I scared you, I honestly scared myself too. Didn't know if I were gonna make it out of there without some fatal injury" Mina nervously laughed thinking about how her father had a hunting knife impaled deep in her abdomen.

"Can I ask what happened? Please Minari" Chaeyoung begged. Mina noticed how Chaeyoung was stiff in her lap, not wanting to rest herself against the wounded woman. "Relax baby, you won't hurt me" Mina laughed and Chaeyoung did as told.

Mina placed her hand on her girlfriend's back slowly rubbing circles around her spine. "I didn't go on a business trip. But I didn't lie about going back to Korea." Mina mumbled out watching Chaeyoung's steady breathing as her face was buried in Mina's neck.

Mina continued, "I've been planning on killing my father ever since we arrived in Texas for the first time. My brother Kai had helped me, and when I left for Korea that's when the plan went through action."

"Did you...kill him?" Chaeyoung whispered. Mina nodded her head, yes. "But as I went to take him out he pulled a knife out on me and stabbed me multiple times. I'm gonna be completely honest with you Chae, I didn't expect to make it out of there alive. I was so scared, so much blood and I couldn't function. But I'm here now, and I'm okay" Mina explained to the shaken up girl.

3 years later

"Minari! Where is the tiny human?" Chaeyoung called out from the entrance way of their home. She held a pair of expensive toddler shoes in her hands, but no toddler.

"Dallia is with me" Mina cleared her throat as she gracefully walked down the staircase. She wore a beautiful two piece outfit that matched with their 4 year old daughter. A black top with a black skirt with silver gems on it. But Dallia had a more appropriate version on. "My girls are so beautiful" Chaeyoung couldn't help her huge smile.

"Mommy put makeup on me too. See!" The little girl pointed to the pink blush that laid on her cheeks and her glossy lips. "so pretty baby" Chaeyoung gasps and lifted the child up into her arms. Chaeyoung couldn't help but stare intensely at her wife's gorgeous appearance. The way her abs flexed through the opening of the outfit, the way her hair graciously spilled over her shoulders in brown waves.

Mina leaned in for a quick kiss before slinging her thousand dollar hand bag over her shoulder along with Dallia's travel bag. "Ready to go see uncle Kai and his new baby?" Dallia cheered in her mother's arms excited to see her favorite uncle.

After Chaeyoung and Mina's marriage two years ago, they moved back to Seoul where they then had their daughter Dallia. They agreed to have Mina carry her, knowing that it was Mina's dream to carry a child.

She was their spawn portraying Chaeyoung's goofy and artistic personality, Mina's attitude and both of their looks. The family as a whole brought sunshine wherever they went causing people to smile whenever they were around. After Mina's father passed her mother mourned for a while causing guilt to arise in the Japanese woman, but after a while it got better. Her mother got the freedom she wanted, inheriting most of the money from her father, whereas Mina inherited none, but she didn't mind knowing she's making more than he ever did in his lifetime.

The couple was currently outside at Kai's place surrounded by family enjoying the environment as they watched Dallia entertain the adults. They snuck off into the house where it was empty, Mina sneaking a few kisses from her wife. "I love you so much" she gushed. "You're all sappy today" Chaeyoung giggled. "I'm always happy, those pregnancy hormones fucked me up" Mina said causing them both to laugh.

Chaeyoung pulled the woman closer to her, "I love you too, baby."
