Sarath POV:
"Appa, epo varuveenga?" I chuckled hearing my daughter's question. Probably I'm hearing the same question for zillionth time now.
"Vandhiruven da kanna! Early morning vandhiruven!'' I assured her.
She cares for me so much. Just like every daughter-father we too have our beautiful bond. I'm doing everything I can, to make sure my daughter gets the best of everything. Well, that's how Indian parents are right! Prioritizing our children's needs before theirs.
"Kanna, appa ku customer call pandranga! Neenga seekram thoongunga. Goodnight," I rushed my words and immediately picked up the second call.
"Sir, Airport front la dhan sir nikkuren," I spoke as soon as I heard hello from the other side.
"Oh seri seri bro, luggages collect pannitu vandhiruven. Oru five minutes," I heard his reply in base voice. Must be someone young I thought.
I immediately checked for A.R.Rahman sir song pendrive in my car dashboard. He must definitely like his music. I glanced at my watch, 3AM. It will take 3hours atleast for the journey.
Driving late night is never new to me, as I have been working in Ola outstation service for the past six years. But this time I'm going to my hometown which actually helps me to meet my family after a month. So more than the customer I'm excited to reach the place early.
"Bro!" I turned around to see a young man in his 30's smiling warmly at me.
"Ashwin Kumar. Coimbatore airport to Ooty book pannirundhen," he extended his right hand for a handshake.
I looked at him unsure. I have never been treated this way. I mean some people will behave rude, while others stay calm till they reach their place but only few actually exchanged such gestures with me.
"Vanga sir, en per Sarath," I shook hands with him.
"Pinnadi boot la luggages vechiralam kudunga," I took luggages from his hands and placed them inside, closing them with a thud.
"Kelambalam a sir?" I asked.
"Polame, sir lam venam Ashwin nae koopdunga," he said.
"Seri bro, vanga!" I walked towards the driver door to open it. He came and sat next to me avoiding backseat unlike many people.
"Pinnadi ukkandha comfortable a thoongikalam ae bro!" I asked unsure.
"Sarath, this is going to be a three hours long drive. Adhuvum Mani ipo 3 aachu. It's so unfair for you to drive if I sleep in the backseat. Rendu perum pesite polame!" He said while loosening his tie.
That's when I noticed him wearing a black suit, may be he was returning after a business meet. He carried a laptop bag with him. He opened the bag and placed a purple card over the dashboard. It looked like a wedding card to me.
I smiled a bit and started the engine. I was about to turn on the bluetooth system when he stopped me, "Vendam Sarath. Pesite vanga. AC um poda venam." He said adjusting his hair and clasped his hands behind his head.
"Romba tired a irukeengale bro! Ingaiye rest eduththutu morning kelambalamey!" I asked while keeping an eye infront of the road.
"Nalaiku Morning Kalyanam iruku Sarath. Indha meeting matum last minute la cancel panna mudila!" He said while I remained unsure if I should ask him further.
"Friend kalyanam a bro?" I asked which earned a chuckle from him.
He adjusted his hair while smiling dreamily tracing the purple card with his hands.
