Coming home finally

Mum pulled into the driveway, and helped me unbuckle my seatbelt.

She helped me out, and into my chair.

I couldn't have crutches because of my arm.

So I had to use a wheel chair.

We went inside, and I sat there, watching her make lunch.

It had been another month before the doctors let me go home.

I was so happy when they said I could leave.

Mum was canceling off work to stay home and take care of me.

"Thank you so much for staying to take care of me mum. "

"I'd do anything to keep you safe."

I smiled at her.
