Chapter 26: The outlands journey

After Katty and Penelope's elemental duel, our heroes have finally reached the abandoned and spooky outlands. "Brrr, it is pretty cold here," said Noel as he and the others felt the cold wind go across their bodies once they got off the ship. "Luckily for you, I brought us jackets while we were still on the ship," said Owen as he handed every one of his friends a jacket. "Yeah, thanks for that, Owen," said Luigi as he put on a green jacket. "Anyways, now that we're here, we have to find that arena so we find 7 Grand Dad and the Bully Boss and lock them up," said Owen as he put on a fire-coloured jacket along with Katty.

"Yeah, be careful though, the creatures that once lived a peaceful life here have now become terrifying mutated monsters thanks to the radiation and chemicals from Adam Baker's castle," said Noel as he warned everyone about how dangerous it is in the outlands. "Don't worry, little bro, I have dealt with crazier things before, so I'm more than ready here," said Owen as he pulled out another new weapon, The Irish Ring Hilted sword. "Woah, that's a cool sword, Owen," said Meggy as she and the others look at the sword. "I think that's the most historic sword for you right now, big bro," said Noel. "What did Noel mean by that, Owen?" asked Melony as she wondered what Noel meant.

"It's just that I do have a bit of Irish in my blood because I had ancestors that lived in Ireland," said Owen as he revealed his Irish heritage. "Oh, I guess that makes sense," said SMG4. "Yeah, I guess that explains the Irish Flag I found while setting up your room when you first arrived at the Mushroom Kingdom, Big O," said Meggy as she recalled seeing the Ireland Flag in one of his moving boxes while she and Melony were setting up her boyfriend's bedroom. "Yeah, I like paying homage to my Irish history, even though I was born in Western Canada," said Owen. "It's nice to hear that, Owen, but it's time we explore the outlands so we can take our next two villains," said Katty as she reminded him of what they had to do next. 

"Yeah, time to split up into teams again," said Owen as he decided the best way to find 7 Grand Dad and the Bully Boss was going into teams again. "Great idea, Owen! It worked many times before, so it can't be any different here," said Tari as she knew her boyfriend always comes up with a plan that usually works out very well. "Yeah, you know it can't be, I am a strategist after all," said Owen as he decided who the two teams would be consisted of, led by himself and Noel. On his team, he had Katty, SMG4, SMG3, Belle, Melony, Mr, Monitor, Luigi, Bob, Fishy Boopkins and Saiko. On Noel's team, he had Mario, Tari, Meggy, Shroomy, Whimpu, Swagmaster, Chris, Rob, SMG1, SMG2, and Jub-Jub. "Ok, our teams are set up, let's find that arena, good luck Noel," said Owen before they headed into two different directions. "You too, Owen, don't forget about those mutated monsters, they show no mercy at all," said Noel as the teams went to look for the arena that 7 Grand Dad and the Bully Boss were hiding.

As Owen led his team, they looked near a very nasty swamp. "Yew, you might want to cover your nose, it smells very bad right here," said Owen as he held onto his nose to avoid smelling the nasty stuff that was at the swamp. "Yeah, no kidding, Arnason," said SMG3 as he put on a gas mask. "Since when did you acquire that gas mask?" asked Katty as they looked at SMG3's gas mask. "None of your business," said SMG3 as he still had some evil left in him after the Genesis Arc. After hearing SMG3's cold words, Katty got angry enough to use her Flame Hand ability. But as she was about to throw a fireball, she felt a hand going on her right shoulder. "Not today, Katty, just try and ignore him for the time being," said Owen as he tried to calm his childhood friend down.

Sighing in defeat, Katty stopped using her Flame Hand ability and focused on locating the arena where their next villains awaited them. "Listen, Katty, I understand SMG3 is mean at times, but you got to get used to it," said SMG4 as he knew all too well about how evil SMG3 was. "Okay, fine, but don't expect me to be nice to him either," said Katty as she gave SMG3 the icy stare. Just as they were about to check a new area, something grabbed Owen by the left leg. "WHAT THE?" said Owen as the creature dragged him into the swamp. Getting a closer look, Owen saw himself face to face with a mutated alligator. 'Oh, shit!' thought the redhead as he could believe what he was seeing.
