I walked into the prison like building and towards the lady at the front desk. She had a sour look on her face like she hated her job and would rather be anywhere else. I almost felt sorry for her. That is, until I had my first conversation with her.

This is it
Narcissa. Your first conversation with a muggle. Don't be scared. She's probably harmless. Only a select few muggles are cannibals. She probably won't-

"Hey Oreo hair!"

I looked up at her, confused. What in Salazars name is an Oreo?

"Yes. You. Can I help you? Or are you just gonna stand there for the rest of the day?" She snapped.

I flushed a deep red color, heat filling my cheeks as I walked forward.

"Hello ma'am. I'm Narcissa Black the new transfer student from Britain? I'm here for my schedule and ID." I said, trying to keep a positive spirit.

"I see. Well Miss Black, you'll go to the ITC for an ID. As for your schedule, I'll give it to you this time but you'll need to see your counselor tomorrow morning. You have Miss Bright." She grumbled, handing me my now printed schedule. "Off you go."

I took the schedule from her and smiled kindly.

"Thank you ma'am. Uhm pardon me for asking but where's the ICT?" I asked

She rolled her eyes.

"The I. T. C. is going to be the large building on your right. Off you go!" She snapped, making me blush with embarrassment for my mispronunciation of the building name.

"Right thank you." I said, leaving at a hurried pace.

I left the office quickly and found the so called ITC building.
I was overwhelmed by the amount of muggle students and how loud they were.

Note to self Narcissa, keep to yourself and get through the day. And don't associate with the boy jumping into the trashcan.

I made it to the building and found the nice looking librarian.

"Hello ma'am I'm Narcissa Black, the new transfer student from Britain. I need to get my ID please." I said flashing her a soft smile.

"Ok. Stand over there please." She said gesturing to a blank side.

Everyone was starring at me and I was thoroughly embarrassed for the third time this morning and I'd only been at the school for 10 minutes.

"Smile!" And a flash of a camera clicked. The sound of a machine grumbled and spit out a plastic card with my portrait and a few numbers.

"Good luck Miss Black. Have a great first day!" The librarian said with a smile.

"Thank you ma'am." I gave her a small smile and went off to find my first classroom. The last thing I wanted was to be late.

I unfolded my paper schedule and read out my day, walking and trying to dodge so many people.

At least mum pulled some strings and got me into french.

I was able to find the C building as it was next to the ITC. That being said, it was so confusing. Numbers were painted on the walls to direct me but it felt like every time I turned a corner I was lost.  And to make matters worse, everyone I encountered and tried to talk to turned me away.
Eventually I encountered a group of girls who seemed nice and decided to try asking them.
