Izuku woke up in a black void. His head felt off, but he otherwise felt completely fine. Is this what death feels like? He asked himself. No, this isn't death. Izuku realized. This is my mind. Suddenly, his head started burning, as if someone stuck it into a stove. Images started to flash in his mind, images of creatures eating humans, and him killing them. He used an ancient art called thunder breathing, and he was part of the destruction of the demon king, Muzan Kibutsuki, and spent his life with his wife, Nezuko, and died at the age of eighty-four, a proper old age.
IZUKU POVMy name isn't Izuku, is it? No, its Zenitsu Agatsuma, the last Thunder Hashira. I slowly opened my eyes, and stared at an unrecognizable ceiling. I looked around, and realized that I was in a hospital, with my shirt off, revealing all of the scars that Bakugo gave me, along with another one. A giant scar, running from my left hip to his neck. This is from surgery! I realized, and looked at his wrist. As I thought, there were tubes going into his arteries, probably supplying me nutrients. My body felt completely fine, aside from my throat, that was completely dry, and my head felt extremely light, probably from dehydration, and my wrist ached, probably from the tubes. I pulled them out of my veins, and used total concentration breathing to seal the wound. It felt unusually tiring, but probably because I still could do it, so that was okay. I would just need to get my body back into shape, that's all.
The door suddenly opened, and entered a nurse. We then stared at each other for several uncomfortable seconds, and then she screamed. I covered my ears from the sound, before covering her mouth my mouth with my hands. "Calm down," I said, rubbing my ears. "That was loud" She looked at me me funny, before saying "I only yelped, now please let go of my hand" I looked down, and realized that I was squeezing her hand. Oh, I get it. That weird look was her blushing. I finally got a good look at her, and she looked familiar. "Kanao-san?" I asked. "Who?" she asked, looking as confused as I felt. "No one, you just look like her" I responded, before walking away, but before I could move even five steps, she stopped me. I glanced back at her, before asking, "What is it" "Midoria sir, you have been in a coma for three years! How are you able to walk? The file said that you were quirkless!" So loud I thought. She glared at me. "I said that out loud, didn't I" she nodded. I ran.
For this chapter, I wanted Izuku to have large problems that seem realistic, but aren't cannon. Also, the slime villain incident occurred when poor Izuku was eleven, so he has several extra years to train his thunder breathing, but he has his own breathing technique, water breathing. Water and lightning, what could go wrong?
