Suing Marinette? Think again

Marinette's POV

"I can't believe Adrien's old man went all on out for this." Nino said as he was fixing his suit. Today is the day I attend court for "Theft of Agreste's Property". As stupid as it sounds nothing else can be compared than what is about to happen.

If anyone asks how this all went down let me go on a memory jog lane to recall how this all lead up to right now.

Flashback starts~

If I had to make a list of my worse days of my life today will be on the very top of the list.

Lila has yet again framed me. What did she frame me for this time? She took Adrien's scarf and placed it in my bag. The same scarf that I gifted him for his birthday. The very handmade scarf he thought his father made for him.

"I can't believe you'd steal from Adrien Marinette I know you love him but this is out of control." Lila dramatically said.

"Shame on you Marinette."

"His dad made him the scarf."

"I expected better of you."

"Marinette this isn't the good example for the class."

"Don't worry Mrs.Bustier I notified Gabriel about this and he already got the papers ready to sue her. I only needed to catch her red handed and witnesses to testify against her." Lila said "sweetly" as my former friends praised her for doing the right thing.

The only ones who didn't by this was Adrien, Nino and Alya. Alya already knew from the beginning, Nino found out once Alya told him the truth about Adrien's scarf, Adrien knew of course Lila was lying but now he gave me a look of guilt for letting Lila do what she always has been doing.

"Justice will be served for you Marinette." Kim snickered at me as a few others continued to throw insults at me. Most of them are willing to testify me in court about my behavior and actions. I didn't give them the time of day that I will fall no not ever.

"Looks like I'll see you all during court then." I said not giving away any hint to what they got themselves into. I headed out of the classroom still hearing them call me names. By the time I went home my parents were surprised to see me.

"Marinette what happened? Why aren't you at school?" My mother asked.

"I'll explain it to you when I prepare for what is about to happen mama and papa but if you want to know what is happening is that I'm getting sued by Gabriel Agreste." Both of my parents stared at me with wide eyes but continued to do their work.

"Ok sweetie. Take a break for now and when your mother and I are done we will attend to you." My father's tone of voice was serious than the normal cheery everyday tone he had.

"Thank you." I smiled at them for understanding the problem I'm in and headed up to my bedroom. My phone started pinging non-stop as messages from the class flooded in. I just ignored my phone and decided to plan my defense.

All I know is they messed with the wrong person who always had their backs when Chloe ruled them with her iron fist.

"Are you ready Marinette?" Alya looked at me.

"Yes Alya. Do you also know the plan?" Alya nodded at me.

"Us against them is nothing I'd have to expect after the times we spent together dudette." Nino frowned as to how low our former friends had gone to the point we are complete strangers. I put my hand on his shoulder showing him that he isn't alone and that this loss shouldn't mean anything to us if they weren't there for us from the very beginning.
