I feel something new

Kendall's POV

I wake up to a glass of water being splashed in my face.
"What the f-" I say, spluttering water as I sit up.

Rainne giggles obnoxiously.
"Dad called you twice to wake you up, then Nary tried, then they sent me up. I said your name three times before grabbing a cup of water. What was your dream about?"

I blush slightly.
"None of your beeswax."
I ruffle her hair and she walks out.

I sit up, using my towel to dry my hair off and check my cell phone.
There's an invitation to a server that Rayssa made on Discord, and a string of texts saying no spoiling Ari's feel better party that Tate planned.

I smile to myself.
These people are very nice.
But there's also a new emotion that I've never felt before, what in the world is it?

I dress in a nice white shirt and black jeans with my fancy boots.
I grab my wallet and my cell, putting them in my pocket as I brush my teeth and hair.
The strands are curlier in my hair when wet.

Nary's voice fills the downstairs as I walk down, and I see Dad and them having a debate about who is cuter.
I make a disgusted face as I turn on the Sims 4.
"There's someone else living here!" I call.

Dad snickers and I hear them making kissing noises.
"Ew!" I call, covering my ears. "La la la la!"
Nary giggles.

I go into my world, using the Sims noises to block out my gross parents.
I find the KOTLC characters that Rainne inserted and chuckle.
I make 'Kendall' have a cheerful introduction with Keefe Sencen, and my parents walk into my peripheral.

"Are you excited about the party?" Nary asks.
I nod.
"Yes, very excited."

"You'll promise to be safe?" Dad asks and then winks at me.
"Ew! Of course, I'll be safe. You didn't have to do that."
Nary laughs.

I continue playing when the kitchen timer buzzes.
Time to head out.
I smile, pausing and saving my game.

"Can I come?" Rainne whines from the stairs.
"Nope, not this time Rainey. I promise that you'll meet my friends next time."
She stomps back to her room, making the house shudder.

Nary and Dad both wince.
"Have fun," Nary says.

I walk out of the house and see Rayssa's car drive down the street.
They park, and the side door opens. Whoops, and hollering comes from inside.

I slide into the middle, and everyone cheers.

"Party! Party!" Tate chants.

"Where to, party planner?" Rayssa asks, and we continue down my street.
"Spare time!" Tate replies.
She giggles.

"Ooooh," Quinn says, pulling xyr hair up into a bun. "Ari should love it."
"What's Spare Time?" I ask, sort of confused.

Everyone but Rayssa turns and stares at me.

"You've never been?" Nik asks.
I shake my head.
They all gasp dramatically.

"Well then, Kendall," Jonas says, rubbing his hands together like a magician before performing a card trick. "You are in for a treat."
I raise my eyebrows, slightly alarmed.

Jonas and Ian both laugh.

"You'll be fine, Palmer," Diana says. "Spare time is an amazing place."
I nod.
"Okay then."

We drive up to the place, and it looks like a building that holds a lot of fun.
The sign reads, "Bowling, Laser Tag, Arcade, and more!"

Rayssa parks and all of us clamber out.
