His Perspective

Udo POV

'The days came and went since Y/n had left. Everything was back to normal, which I hated. When y/n was here, everything became so much more lively. When y/n left, a piece of the Nest of Origin left with her. I'm thankful that tears stopped building in my eyes whenever I thought about her. However, I can't stop my heart from hurting when she comes into my mind,' I thought as I stood next to the Phoenix painting. I was waiting for Maleficent. Soon she arrived in her usual black attire. "Good evening, Maleficent. There is something you wished to speak to me about?" I asked. "Yes, it's about the union y/n proposed," Maleficent said, using her magic to make a letter appear in her hand. "What about it?" I crossed my arms and raised a brow. "Y/n is going through with union. She and her father are on a ship heading towards us as we speak. We shall board the ship and head towards Ulstead," Maleficent said, handing me the letter. Without any hesitation, I opened the letter and began to read. 

Dear Maleficent,

     I am pleased to say that the union shall go forward. I have already sent letters to Aurora and Philip. By the time you should have this letter, my father and I were on a ship sailing towards your location. We should arrive in 1 or 2 days. Once we arrive at the Nest of Origin, we'll retrieve you and Udo. From there, we'll head towards Ulstead. The journey towards Ulstead will be about a week, so I suggest you and Udo pack heavily. And if possible, tell Udo that I love him and I've missed him so much. I can't wait to see both you and Udo.

My pale cheeks turned a dark red as a smile crept onto my face. I neatly re-folded the letter and handed it back to Maleficent. My feathers became ruffled as I tried to control my excitement. "Before you explode with excitement, I suggest you go and tell your other friends about y/n," Maleficent said with a small smile. Without another word, I took off into the air. I flew as quickly as I could. I soon arrived in the desert, landing at the entrance of the healing cave. Ini, Shrike, and Borra were all there doing a different tasks. Ini was making medicine while Shrike helped. Borra was carrying heavy objects throughout the cave. "Good evening, everyone," I said while walking into the cave. "Good evening, Udo. Where have you been?" Ini asked, looking up at me. 

"I was near the phoenix painting," I said. "Why were you there?" Shrike asked, raising a brow. "Maleficent had something she wished to discuss with me. Doesn't everyone know about the union y/n proposed?" I asked. Ini, Shrike, and Borra nodded and turned their attention to me. "Y/n has decided to go forward with the union. She's on a ship right now with her father. They are heading towards here to get Maleficent and me," I said with an excited smile. Ini, Shrike, and Borra cheered and surrounded me. "I can't wait to see y/n again," Ini said. "I wonder if she has grown more powerful," Shrike said, clapping her hands together. "I bet she missed Udo the most," Borra said with an amused smile. Shrike playfully elbowed Borra's side. "Of course, she missed him the most. They love each other so much that they'd die for one another," Shrike said. "Then why aren't they mates yet?" Borra asked. "Borra's right. Why haven't you asked y/n to be your mate?" Ini asked, raising a brow. 

"I haven't asked her yet because I needed to make sure that she truly loved me. However, I also wanted to make sure that I truly loved her," I said honestly. "So, do you truly love y/n?" Ini asked. "Yes, and that is why when I see her, I'll ask her to be my mate," I said with a happy sigh. Ini and Shrike squealed at my words. "When will she be here?" Shrike asked. "She'll arrive in 1 or 2 days," I answered. "We should have a small celebration for y/n's return," Ini suggested. "I think she'd like that," Borra said. "While you prepare for the small celebration, I'm going to go a pack for the trip to Ulstead," I said, turning to leave the cave. "Alright, bye, Udo," Everyone said as I left the cave and flew towards my hut. 

Once I was at my hut, I took a large sack and began filling it with everything I might need. As I did, Feuer crawled into my home. His paws and muzzle were white, while the rest of his body was pink. He was much bigger than he was before y/n left. If Feuer stood on his hind legs, he would be the same height as me. Feuer looked over my shoulder, trying to see what I was doing. "Guess what, Feuer? Y/n is coming back. You'll get to see her again," I said. As soon as Feuer heard y/n's name, he began jumping around excitedly. I chuckled at his actions. "I'm just as excited as you are, Feuer. However, I'm only worried about one thing," I said. Feuer stopped jumping around and turned his attention towards me. "I love y/n, and I know she loves me. However, I'm not sure how her parents would react to y/n and I being together. Queen Elurra seems nice, but I've never gotten well acquainted with King Gale. I'll try to talk to King Gale while I'm on the ship with him. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly between King Gale and me," I said calmly, even though on the inside, I was nervous.
