Udo POV

I was shaken awake from my peaceful slumber. I looked up to see King Gale standing over me. "Wake up, Udo. It's time," King Gale shook me again, gently. I stood out of bed, stretching my arms and wings. "What time is it?" I asked. "It is 5:30 in the morning. It'll take us some time to get to the challenge," King Gale said while walking towards the door. I followed him, and together, we left the castle.

We were now in the castle stables. Two horses, both white and brown, had been prepared for us. King Gale spoke as we mounted our horses. "By the time we arrive, the sun shall start to rise. When we get to the location, I'll explain the challenge and everything you need to know," King Gale said as we rode out of the castle. "And y/n? Does she know about our early departure?" I asked. "No, but I slid a note under her door before getting you," King Gale answered. Once we were past the kingdom gates, we rode forward. I laid my head on my horse's neck, slowly falling asleep.

"We're here," King Gale said, waking me up again. I sat up, taking in my surroundings.

We unmounted our horses and walked towards the ruin. As King Gale had said, the sun was slowly starting to rise. "Alright, Udo. Your challenge will have to deal with archery," King Gale said, walking behind the ruins and leaving me standing alone. "Seems simple?" I raised a brow, suspicious of King Gale's intentions. "It is. All you have to do is hit more targets than me. If you manage to win, I shall give you and y/n my blessing. However, If you fail," King Gale paused, coming back to me, holding two bows and multiple arrows. "I will see that your gaze shall never meet Y/n's," King Gale stared into my eyes as he handed me a poorly made bow.

Meanwhile, King Gale held his bow close to his chest
