It had been five days since all the invited kingdoms arrived. Every opportunity you got, you spent with Udo. You showed him around the castle and told him about your family's history.
Secretly, you two snuck out of the castle and wandered around the kingdom, trying different pastries, entering other shops, and enjoying a few horse races.
Tonight was the night of the celebration for Takashi and Hiroki. After making sure that you took care of all the last-minute preparations, you rushed to your room to prepare.

I sank deeper into my hot bathwater, letting all my stress melt away. I took some soap and ran it across my body, washing off all the sweat. As I began to wash my hair, a maid called out to me from outside of the washroom. "Princess Y/n?" The maid called out. "Yes," I called back, adding the lavender shampoo into my hair. "Your mother wished for me to bring you a dress. She wants you to wear it tonight," The maid explained. "Alright. Leave the dress on my bed, please," I said, washing out the shampoo from my hair. "Very well, Princess Y/n," The maid said before walking away. As soothing as the bath was, something was still on my mind. 'What was that maid talking about a few days ago? Troubling news about a kingdom far away? What troubling news? Maybe she was talking about the Kingdom of Adines? Perhaps the Kingdom of Zabaros?' After spending some more time thinking, I stood from my bath. I wrapped one of the towels around myself and exited my washroom.
Even though I was used to the cold, I shivered as I entered my room. It felt colder than usual. Looking outside of one of my many windows, I saw how it was quickly growing dark. The sun was nowhere to be seen, and the street lights were becoming lit. Turning to my bed, I saw the dress my mother had given me.

I took the dress into my arms, admiring its beauty. 'I wonder where my mother got this from?' I quickly put the dress on, enjoying the warmth it provided. I walked over to my vanity, sat down, and applied makeup. It wasn't anything fancy. It was pretty basic, in my opinion.
