Two Worlds Collide

Part 6

I could hear the music blaring from my room. Kat went to Sam's room to get ready and I am kind of scared to leave my room what if everyone looks at me weirdly for what I am wearing, what if people ignore me and I stand in a corner alone? But I guess it is my house now so I can always come right back up here. Before I finish my thoughts I hear a knock at my door. "Come in." The door opens and Colby is standing at my door looking very attractive if I might add. "Oh hey, you look beautiful are you ready to go down to the party?" I was shocked by his response even though he was saying it really fast as if saying it just to say it. "Uh, thank you, yeah I am." I walk towards him and he puts out his arm. I grab his arm and we walk towards the stairs I see Sam and Kat and of course, Sam didn't seem too thrilled with me holding Colby's arm but he also looked shocked by the way I looked. "Drew you look great!" Sam says in a really exciting way that makes me feel really great honestly they are all accepting me for who I am. I smile at him and we all walk downstairs. The party is already booming Corey is on the Island dancing, Jake is taking shots and there are people already jumping into the pool. 

I got instantly nervous when reaching the bottom of the stairs and Colby could tell he grabbed my hand and took me towards the kitchen and gave me a drink. "Hey don't worry I'll be next to you all night," he said which made me calm down. But I didn't believe that for one second I have seen my brother's Snap stories, and all of a sudden a very drunk boy came over and started screaming at Colby "COLBY WHAT'S UP DUDE!! Who's this cutie?" he said looking at me. Putting his arm around Colby. "Brennen this is Drew, Sam's sister. Drew this is Brennen one of my best friends." "Sam has a sister?? Well, shit nice to meet you cutie" he said reaching out his hand towards me. I shook his hand I could smell the alcohol on his breath and then he disappeared into the crowd. "He is wild," I said to Colby while laughing. "Yeah, he is something else," Colby said while laughing and shaking his head. 

The party kept getting crazier and I ended up losing Colby in the mix of it all which was fine because I was dancing with Kat and Devyn who is Corey's girlfriend and I was actually having a great time. We danced for what felt like hours but eventually, the party started dying down and it was eventually just us girls dancing when the three boys decided to run in and dance with us. We all danced together in the living room for what felt like hours. Kat was dancing with Sam, Devyn was dancing with Corey, and well I was dancing with Colby. We lost Jake in the mess I honestly think he was passed out outside somewhere. For the first time, I felt like I had a home I've never had a group of people to dance with at 4 am in the middle of a kitchen hammered. The couples eventually trailed off to their rooms and left me and Colby dancing in the living room the music eventually stopped and we stood there in silence. Colby started moving closer to me and I didn't stop him. We were inches from each other when he leaned down and kissed me. It wasn't long but it felt like something I never felt before. We left the kiss and I was standing there in shock "I've wanted to do that for a while," he said with his hands on my face. I didn't know what to say, I didn't think that he would ever have feelings for me and like someone like me. I couldn't say anything, I just smiled. I am so confused about what just happened. I pulled away and looked at Colby. "I think I am going to go to bed." He looked down at me. "I think that is a good idea." He pecked my lips and walked away to his room. I turned around and smiled, I couldn't believe that just happened.
