[IVE WANTED TO WRITE THIS FOR A VERY VERY LONG TIME]
enjoy the angst haha
Espresso's breath hitched, his hand over his mouth.
His entire body trembling.
"Espresso, my dear. You know you cannot hide from me forever." The voice said, their voice flowing like silk.
The figure drags their claymore against the rocky terrain.
Making a screeching noise, causing Espresso to flinch a little.
He had already sustained some injuries on his back, he is going to risk getting more if he tries to escape with.. him around.
Madeleine stops for a brief moment.
His hand going over his cheek, he was crying.
Tears flowing out from his eyes.
He didn't understand.
Why was he crying?
Whatever, the sooner he gets this over with.
The sooner he can understand why this is happening.
His blank and nonchalant expression he still bore.
As the crimson red stained on his claymore starts to dry.
Espresso took this as a chance of escape.
Whilst Madeleine's back was turned, He suddenly booked into a sprint.
Startled by the sound of hasty footsteps, Madeleine turned and saw Espresso making a run for the exit.
He didn't care that he had injuries on his back, he didn't care if he was going to die, If it was Madeleine who killed him then so be it.
He would rather have it that way.
Suddenly, a shield was summoned before him, stopping him in his tracks.
Espresso didn't know what to do.
The used to be bright and confident paladin had now corrupted in the arms of darkness.
His dark night hair flowed along with the silk of the wind as he slowly walked over to the injured mage.
"My dear, you thought you could escape that easily?" He giggled, wearing a small smirk.
Espresso stayed silent.
Oh how he missed his extravagant smile, which is now turned into a grin.
Its meaning behind it, not so good.
..
Now in a blink of an eye, The claymore had penetrated Espresso's abdominal area.
He coughed out blood, to which it splatters on the floor.
Madeleine's eyes widen, realizing what he had done.
To which the mage falls to the floor, his eyes half open, seeming dead.
Espresso lays there, in a pool of his own blood.
Never would he, thought he would get killed by his own beloved.
Unfortunate, Isn't it?
Madeleine takes some time to process this, to which tears once again start flowing.
He picks up the lifeless corpse of the coffee mage.
His glasses chipped and damaged.
"I'm sorry" He repeats, over and over to himself.
He finally understands the tears.
This guilt he will carry on forever.
For his love and dignity has perished altogether.
