I woke up being trapped in a bed by the covers. It was warm inside this place I was in, I turned my head to the left and saw a boy with red hair on the floor. He was sleeping, he looked so peaceful. My eyes moved to the window across the room, it was dark outside. How did I get here? Why was I here? I looked at the clock on the wall and it read that it was two in the morning. How long have I been in this place?

F- " Hey, you're awake." I jumped to the sudden voice breaking the silence, it was the boy on the floor. He had red puffy eyes like he was crying, he looked at me with cautious eyes.

S- " Who are you? Where am I?" I sat up in the bed while the stranger sighed

F- " Stella, I'm Fred your best friend, you're at my house for the summer. Do you remember?" He was slowly choosing his words making sure not to scare me off. Why couldn't I remember him at all?

S- "N-no I don't remember, I'm sorry." He looked at the ground as soon as a tear fell from his eyes. He got up slowly and rubbed his check to whip off the tear. He grabbed a piece of paper and made his way towards me. He had his hand out with the paper in it. I cautiously grabbed the paper to see it was a letter.

F- " Stella, how are you feeling?" I looked at him with tears in my eyes.

S- " H-how am I feeling? I don't even know, I'm so confused. Why can't I remember anything? Why am I here!" I raised my voice without knowing, while Fred took a step away.

F- " I will explain everything I promise. You're here so we can help you remember. Stella, what do you last remember?"

S- " I am supposed to trust you? I don't even know you, how can I possibly trust your words?"

F- " Because I am your best friend Stella, and I would never hurt you or betray you ever." I looked at him, trying to see if he was lying. He wasn't, he was telling the truth and a part of me knew I could trust him.

S- " The last thing I remember is my mother waking me up, she had this letter. It was telling me I got accepted to this school. My father said that it was about time, he wanted me out of the house."

F- " Stella that was almost a year ago. I will do anything to get you back no matter what." He sat next to me and pulled me into an embrace. It felt natural, like I was supposed to be in his arms. Was it really a year when that happened? What things happened in between what I remember back then to what is happening now? A sudden scent of firewood, with a mixture of fresh grass.

S- "F- Fred." I said in a low whisper as I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him tight. I didn't want to let go, for the first time I felt complete. I still didn't understand but he was with me and that was all I needed for now.

We stayed up that night, it was mostly Fred talking about the year I couldn't remember. He told me about the prank I pulled on him and his twin. It seemed like I had so much fun but couldn't remember. Fred kept his promise, he told me about this boy named Matt and what he did to me.

Finally the sun was rising, it started to get warmer. That's when the boy next to me said,

F- " Hey, do you want to have an adventure before breakfast? I promise it will make you feel better." He looked into my eyes with excitement.

S- " What kind of adventure? It's only five in the morning."

F- " We could go flying on our brooms, I'm sure George won't mind you using his."

S- " I- I don't know, I can't remember how to." I looked down at the ground. Fred laughed quietly, the sound made my heart race.

F- " Stella, I can always teach you how." I looked into his eyes and nodded my head, my lips turned up into a small smile.
