Chapter 17

On the morning of your birthday, you woke up when you felt Natasha sit beside you on the bed. "Hey, where have you been?"

"I had to go see Tony for a second. And while I was down there, I made you breakfast." After eating, Natasha put the plates on the floor beside the bed and got back under the covers with you. The two of you laid there for a while in a comfortable silence until you put on a movie to watch. "Happy birthday, детка. I love you so much." She kissed the top of your head before getting up and walking over to the wardrobe. She pulled out 3 wrapped boxes, each with a golden ribbon tied in a bow. After sitting back down, she handed you them one by one. In the first box, there was a new pair of trainers. "I figured since your current pair seem pretty old and battered, why not get you new ones. I wasn't sure what you'd like so they're the same ones, just new."

"Thank you, Nat, I must've had my old ones for nearly 3 years."

"Well, that's not all, here, open this next!"

Opening the second gift, you smiled and pulled out 2 outfits. The first was a grey jumper with grey joggers. You would usually wear things like that for training or if you had a day off. The second outfit was a pair of jeans, a white t-shirt and a grey vest: something you would wear if you weren't planning on staying in yours and Nat's room for most of the day. "Ahh I love them, thank you, my love."

She pulled your head forward, gently kissing the top of it before handing over the last box. It was only a smallish box compared to the other 2. As you unwrapped the final box, you found a silver bracelet. When you looked closer, you saw the tiny, yet visible words that were engraved into it: 'I never thought I'd truly love till I met you - NR'. Your eyes filled with tears (happy tears obviously) before you wrapped your arms tightly around her, mumbling the words "I love you" into her neck.

After getting dressed, Natasha took you to see a movie at the cinema and then took you to get food at a nearby restaurant. On the way home, she put on Red (Taylor's version) that had only recently been released for you to listen to. Once back at the compound, Natasha parked the car and called Tony. "Hey, Tony... is it ready... mhmm thanks, bye." You didn't know what Tony said or even what the call was about and when you asked Natasha, she just said it was top secret. Before leaving the garage Natasha pulled out a blindfold. "I kinda need you to wear this."

"Bit kinky, don't you think?" You smirked at her and laughed.

"I'm serious! I have a surprise for you. A nice surprise. And it's okay, no one's gonna jump out or scream at you."

"Hmm okay, I'm trusting you. But if you lie-"

"Just put it on, I need you to see it!" You put it on making sure there were no gaps and allowed Natasha to guide you to wherever you were going. Eventually she stopped and, before gently taking off the blindfold, kissed the tip of your nose. After your eyes adjusted to the light, you saw Tony standing near a cloth-covered object. As you walked over, your hand gripping Natasha's, a confused look grew on your face. "What is it?"

"Well, take a look." Tony said as he pulled off the blue cloth to reveal a bronze iron man suit. You stood in awe for a good few minutes until Natasha began to speak. "So, принцесса? Do you like it or would you have preferred a different colour?"

"Wait?! This is mine?!"

"Yes, I had Tony make you one since you always talk about wanting one and I chose bronze because it looked the coolest out of this, orange or yellow to be a similar colour to your powers."

"Oh my god, thank you Nat. And thank you Tony!" You almost jumped at him, hugging him, which took him aback for a second before hugging you back. "It was nothing. And if you ever need a respray or different colour, just ask."

"Will do, Tony!"
