"So, have I told you about the girl that Harry hooked up with?"
Is what I heard stepping down the staircase this morning. It was 6AM and the sun was shining brightly through the window in my room. Tyler was happy to clean the whole house for me, and purposely left the blinds up so I would die in the morning. Not to mention, the window was open, so I was continously cold throughtout the long night. The plump, Blue-Jay bird sat on a twig outside my creaked open window. His eyes looked like a smokey eye tutorial on Youtube, flared with messy splotches. Bird's tail was majestically red, a bright maroon color. Gray beak connected to his cheeks was small and less vibrant from his tail. He may have been beautiful, but he would not shut the fuck up this morning.
The walls of the foyer were a creme color. I had the walls painted that when I moved in because it was simple, yet smooth. The bright light from the ball of fire in space was coming in through the large french windows, panes painted crisp white. The red Sequoia doors with shiny, locked knobs were a spectacular addition to the home. All thanks to a fallen tree on the US 199 highway. Cold, grayish marble was below my sock covered feet as I slid like on ice skates. Turning around, I looked at the other side of the imperial staircase. It was Tyler's half of the mirrored stair and was used most. Mostly because Tyler's side would lead to his room, closer than my staircase would. And I always went up there to bug him.
The metal handrail was a dark, midnight black color. Underneath the actual rail, was molded metal, into swirls, curves, and turns. It is as beautiful as a Picasso mural in Downtown. The door that led to the hallway of mysteries, had looked dusty, haven't gone down there in a while, huh. Ahead of me, were the light Birch wood swingdoors that went to the kitchen. Which in, I walked.
Tyler was pouring the boiling hot, steamy water out of the kettle into five cups. All of them had tea bags in them, oh no, the Brits. Laughter and talking erupted from the living room next to us, they were here. He smiled at me and giggled a lonesome bit. The gay madman grabbed another mug and a peach tea bag. Yay, slowly the birthday was getting better. Hot, warm peach tea and five hot boys, amazing.
The steel fridge door closed when Tyler grabbed at the milk. Nasty, the boys wanted gross, hot tea, mixed cold, bland milk. How disgusting? It's not my loss, though. It is Tyler's milk, I've never had a great liking for milk. The airy blue walls went around the room and led my hand to the sink, that was spotless. I couldn't believe it, Tyler actually cleaned the whole house. I hope he knew he wasn't getting a present from me on my birthday.
"Would you help me carry these out to them?"
"Pfft, no. They can come get it themselves if they want it."
"Alexis, they're our guest!"
"But, it's MY birthday. Make Niall get it, he's been here before."
Tyler grunted at my response. He looked up at me surprised when I grabbed Niall's mug. I knew it was Niall's mug because I remember the day we bought it. Niall and I were just shopping around in the streets of Downtown and stopped in at a ceramic shop. They had plates, glasses, mugs...anything you could make out of clay, was in there. Niall got a mug with an "N" on it, mine had an "A". Passing the fridge, sink, and doorway, I took a left to go out to the boys. If I had taken a right, I would end up in the dining room.
Niall leaned forward on the soft, apholstery couch, to grab the luke warm mug. He smiled in delight when I sat next to him as Tyler came in struggling with five mugs filled with hot tea, his with coffee. Harry sat to the right of Niall, in a chair seperate from the couch. I love how Tyler closed the drapes in the grand living room, but not in my bedroom. Zayn cuddled close to Liam, who was on my left, eyes still wearing sleep. Louis sat in my chair, the leather, incredibly soft, black chair. Tyler waved off finally, with his mug in hand.
