Letting out a sigh you sat in your chair, swivelling around the dark room. Your mind had been going in loops and it was frustrating to say the least, constantly hitting different keys on the MIDI pad only to delete it all because it wasn't 'perfect'
It all had to be perfect every beat, chord, note. It had to convey everything while conveying nothing all at the same time. A song to speak all the unspoken words while it fell on distracted ears.
The lyrics were easy you had them all finalised in a note book, the drafts and rough sketches long forgotten.
By then end of the afternoon you had finally created something that you could be proud of, it flowed well and was catchy, the last thing that was left to do was release it.
Setting an alarm for 8 you made sure to make a mental note that's what you had to do when it went off.
