TWO| "Are you jealous?"

a long time ago . . . 

CECE SAT DOWN NEXT TO A SMALL LITTLE GIRL WHO WAS STARRING INTO SPACE. The girl was a local, she knew who everyone was. She didn't spend as much time with them as Sersi did, though she had a great memory.

"Arabella" she whispered, snapping her finger in-front to her face to get her attention. "What are you looking at?"

"The ground" she shrugged, pointing at the dirt. She looked back up at the older women, letting out a long sign. "Have you ever been in love?" she asked, making her pause.

CeCe smiled, glancing around the party to see Druig walk up to Makkari and sign something towards her. "Yes" she breathed out, looking back at her. "I have. Why do you ask?"

"You see him?" she pointed to a boy who seemed to be a few years older than her, "He talked to me yesterday in the garden. I believe he loves me, and I love him" CeCe smiled at her innocents. For a moment she was quiet, imagining if she could think that way.

Pretending that her life was nice enough to live like that, so care - free. "Well . . .  "she trailed off, taking a deep breath. "If I was you, I would tell him. Well, to be honest that's what I did"

"The mean one" Arabella stated, pointing towards Druig. "That's him. The mean one  . . and her" she motioned towards Makkari. "The one that doesn't talk, she saved me the other day"

"Druig isn't mean" she laughed lightly, "Not to me at least" she corrected herself.

"If I could borrow her" a voice spoke behind them, they turned to Ikaris. "May I have this dance?" he held his hand out towards her.

"She's all yours" Arabella's giggles faded away as she ran over to a group of kids who were waving her over. 

CeCe took his hand, letting him pull her to a open area as soft music played in the back. "Thena left" he whispered after a while.

"I know she wouldn't last long" she rested her head down, signing softly. "Did you really think she would stay?"

"Wasn't counting on it" he shrugged with a small laugh, slowly twirly her. His eyes caught Makkari who stood with a blank look on her face as she stared at them. As he caught her eye she let out a small fake smile before twirly around. "You should go to them before Druig mind controls me to walk off a cliff"

She smiled, kissing his cheeks as she made her way to the two. Druig was leaning on the wall, arms crossed as Makkari only stood a small bit  in-front of him.

"You don't seem busy" she signed, glancing between them as she smirked. "You don't look happy either"

"You seem to be very busy" signed Druig, also speaking at the same time.
