After Ran came and picked you up, you two agreed to talk about the mission when you come back to the apartment. When you arrived the apartment looked quite empty, but you assumed that Rindou was probably sleeping and not causing chaos. Even though you two have agreed to talk about the mission now, you decided that it would be best in the morning since you were tired from this eventful night.
You took a quick and steamy shower, to calm yourself down. Exiting the bathroom you saw something laying on your bed. Recognizing the white hair, you quietly went to the other side of the bed and laid down facing the figure. It was Mikey, he looked so peaceful sleeping here, but the question was how he got into your room unnoticed. He didn't take a large portion of the bed, so you decided to let it slide, you were too tired to argue anyway.
You took one last look at him and decided to move away a bit and turn around. Right before you drifted off, you felt a hand around your waist. He pulled you closed and you could feel his hot breath on your neck.
''Don't leave me please.'' he said, his voice breaking a bit. It was the first time that he was vulnerable in front of you, since you got roped into Bonten. From the start you knew that he was hurting inside, but there was nothing that you could do. He was completely unapproachable.
''I won't.'' you said before finally drifting off to sleep. Waking up you could still feel Mikey's presence behind you. You wanted to get out of bed, without waking him up. You tried to wiggle out of hid grip, but he held you tightly.
''Are you awake?'' his voice startled you.
''Yes'' you answered. You turned around, now facing him. He looked at you and smiled. It was the first genuine smile that you saw from him.
''What really happened during the mission? You didn't do it according to the plan, did you? '' You took a second to think this through. There would be no reason for him to be mad, you completed the mission in your own way. You never liked when someone tells you how to do something, you are perfectly capable of doing it your own way.
''I completed the mission, that's the only important thing.'' You said, while trying to get out of bed, but Mikey didn't let go of you. Barely you were able to pry his hands and run straight for the door. He ran after you and you two found yourselves standing in front of the TV, watching the news.
''Today, we mark the loss of one of our most influential Japanese politicians Sato Kyo. However, even though he claimed to be against the corruption of the previous government, he was just like them, selling drugs on the black market and exploiting women for money. The culprit has been identified as one of Japan's most famous assassins The Masked Shinigami. Since, this incident seem to have uncovered a lot of information that the police have been looking for, they will delay the investigation of his murder.''
You looked to your side to see Mikey still deeply interested in what the reporter had to say. One thing was making you question his reaction, does he know that you are the assassin in question. Otherwise if he doesn't things will get a lot more complicated around here.
''So you met The Masked Shinigami and he killed him. How did you get out alive?''
''No.''
''What do you mean no, he killed him?''
''No.''
''I'm running low on patience. What actually happened?''
''No, he isn't a he. The Masked Shinigami is a she. ''
''Sure, how do you know that? I saw him with my own two eyes.''
''Well, you're wrong.''
''And what's your proof?'' he said raising his eyebrow.
''I am The Masked Shinigami.''
