Junkyu POV
I sighed deeply as Rose placed a cup of chamomile tea on my desk. She had refused to bring my favorite caffeinated beverage, though I was sincerely craving for it now. She said another coffee won't calm me down and I'm starting to get on her nerve with my behavior recently.
It has nothing to do with work or kids. No. They are fine. I do what I have to do in regards of work, I did an excellent job if I shall say so myself. As for the twins, I couldn't ask for more better condition. They slowly get used with JeongWoo not being around, although the day JeongWoo came for visit had become their favorite kind of day.
"Man up Junkyu-ya. You can't always avoid him." Called Rose.
It has been weeks since I told Haruto to not give up on me. Weeks of me trying to avoid him except for inevitable encounter related with work. Somehow, I always managed to put my stoic expression up when he came to my office or when we attend the same meeting. But other than that, I couldn't even look at his face without feeling scared, anxious, or worse, get flustered with no reasons at all.
Its as though I went back to middle school. You know, when you had your first crush, you became extra conscious with yourself. You want your crush to acknowledge you in a positive way yet everything that you do seemed ended up with you embarrassing yourself, even though the only thing that you do was just standing behind a locker in a hallway, secretly spying your crush, and nothing else. And when your crush magically noticed your existence and try to talk to you, you ran and avoid them at all cost. Basically, you became the dumbest person exist on the planet.
That was me right now. Every time my radar caught Haruto's presence, I would either turned around or walk passed him while looking everywhere other than his face. Stupid, I know.
"Do you have the data I asked you?" I diverted our conversation.
One thing I love about Rose, she knew when to stop positioning herself as my friend and Noona just by reading my gesture. And she held no grudge at all. Professionalism at its finest.
"Here is the data you requested Junkyu-ssi." She handed me some documents. "I used the data I had from the geriatric care center in Anam Hospital. I also included information on potential investors and their background. I can prepare the presentation if you need."
"Well done." I replied. "Director Watanabe and his team going to prepare everything needed for this since he is in charge of JW Health Care. I just have to check if its going to be profitable to build the same geriatric center in Severance Hospital."
"Do you need anything else, Junkyu-ssi?"
"Could you check Chairman Kim schedule for me?" I requested.
"He's available between 4PM to 5PM, Sir." She answered immediately.
I looked up to her and chuckled. "Are you his PA too?"
"I'll take that as compliment." She flipped her hair. "Since Lisa is in charge of your schedule, I could keep in track with Chairman Kim schedule and.." She trailed off and give me a teasing smirk. "Director Watanabe schedule. In case you need it."
I shook my head and look back to the document. "If he's only available around that time, could you check if my mom can get the twins from school and take them to her house? Let her know I'm going to pick them up later. No sleepover tonight."
"Sure. Are you going to have lunch outside?" She asked.
I checked the time on my wrist and sure enough it was almost lunch time. "I'll skip lunch today. You and Lisa can have lunch together. No need to wait for me."
