Five years later..
Haruto POV
"I'm going to open the door."
"No. It's my turn."
"Since when is it your turn, Ruto?"
I sighed as I pinched the bridge of my nose and watched my children quarrel yet again simply because they wanted to do more than the other. They had been at it since morning and I almost felt as though I would pull every hair out of my head. It's Junkyu Hyung's birthday today and we decided to have a small celebration with the boys and their family.
"There. I open the door." Junkyu Hyung said as he pressed a button on the security control screen on the wall. The twins pouted and stared at their dad as though they were telling him it's unfair. "Now, who wants to bring these two bowls to the table outside?" He smiled, transferring two wooden bowls from the counter top to the kitchen island. Both of them are filled with salads but different dressings.
"Me!" They shouted in unison and quickly took the bowls, one each. Junkyu Hyung chuckled while watching them before he moved to the fridge and took out marinated beef.
Five years had passed since our wedding. Five years and five months if I should say precisely. The twins are now thirteen and they grew up exactly like we thought they would.
Ruto had grown up to be a calm, sweet, loving boy with his introvert side bigger than his extrovert side. He prefers spending his time at home with his Dad, talking and cuddling with him and sometimes following his Dad working in his studio. He had learned to play piano from two years ago and with the amount of time he spent with his Dad, he had learned how to compose a song.
Meanwhile, his sister. Jesus, don't make me start with her. I don't know whether it's because she's close with Lyn and JeongWoo or it's because of my own karma, but to say she's a carbon copy of me is an understatement. She made a gym as her favorite place and her favorite sport other than horseback riding is martial arts. Bloody martial arts! Oh lord knows how I went into havoc one day when Junkyu Hyung called and said Ruka came home with bruises on her arms.
She's fucking thirteen and she already knew how to fight. I mean, I learned how to fight from Hyunbin Hyung when I was twelve, but still, it's unacceptable! And oh, don't say she's my daughter if she isn't stubborn like me. That girl is hard as rock.
"YAA KIM JUNKYU!!" As usual, the one and only Jihoon Hyung shouted as he walked into the house and went to the kitchen.
"Sushh! Don't shout. You're going to wake up Hajun." Hyunsuk Hyung slapped his husband's back as he cradled their two years old son.
I shook my head in amusement and went to them, gave them a brotherly hug and paused to adore the sleeping toddler. Now that the twins have reached puberty, and seemed to like their gadget more than me, I kind of miss having small kids around.
"Do you want to put him upstairs, Hyung?" I offered as I brushed one finger gently on his chubby cheek.
"Oh. Guest room?" He asked and went upstairs after I gave him a go.
"No one here yet?" Jihoon Hyung asked as he sat down on the stool.
"Uncle Jiiii.." The twins shouted before we got to answer him. They smiled all too excitedly. "Where's Hajun-a?" Ruka asked.
Jihoon Hyung ruffled their hair playfully. "Sleeping. Upstairs in the guest room with Uncle Suk."
Both of them pouted. "Hmm, we can't play with him then." She said.
"Later. Let him sleep first. Now, help me put these near the grill." Junkyu Hyung said, placing two metal trays full of meat in front of them. "Be careful, they're heavy." And just like that, Ruka and Ruto dashed out again with a tray on their hands.
