IT HAD BEEN THREE PEACEFUL YEARS FOR THE MIKAELSONS after they had managed to destroy the Hollow and the other threats against their family. Hope Mikaelson was now 11 years old and attending the Salvatore Boarding School.

All of Freya's siblings had found someone or were happy by themselves, but Freya was not. Despite having her family, she still felt lonely. She longed for a partner she could love and cherish, a significant other, someone that could be apart of her.

She decided to go for a walk to clear her head, and she found herself bumping into someone that would change her life forever.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" Freya heard the girl rush out. She had dropped her purse, but it was gently placed into her hands, which lightly brushed her own making her feel a kind of warmth.

"It's no problem. I was technically the one that bumped into you." Freya smiled and the girl returned it, though she could tell it was fake. Not the kind of fake smile as in being rude, but more of a fake smile out of faked happiness. Freya saw the broken look behind the girl's eyes, secretly crying for help with hopelessness because she thought she would never be saved. Freya knew that look because she put a mask up behind that look before. When she still lived with Dahlia.

"I wasn't looking where I was going. I should have seen you." the girl waved her off and started to walk away but stopped when Freya called out to her.

"Hey! Could I at least get your name? Mine's Freya."

"I'm Cassie, maybe I'll see you around." the girl, Cassie, threw one of her quick, flashy smiles at her for the last time and continued walking down the path they bumped into each other at.

"See you around Cassie." Freya muttered to herself, wanting so bad to help the broken girl who was clearly putting up an act.

Maybe that's were Elijah Mikaelson got his need to help broken people from. His sister Freya who wanted to help the people that deserved better, especially now that she had more freedom and had reached her full potential in everything. She was stronger now. She wanted to help Cassie who seemed like a sweet girl from what she could tell, and once a Mikaelson wants something they won't stop for anything until they get it.

CASSIE MYERS WAS HAVING A PRETTY HORRIBLE MORNING. She had woken up on the floor with thankfully no new bruises, but was forced to cover up the ones she had acquired from her mother and her boyfriend earlier to avoid being questioned by anyone.

Once she finished getting ready, she peeked past the wall and sighed in relief when she saw John, her mother's boyfriend was gone and that her mother was asleep and surrounded by beer bottles.

Carefully making her way around her mother without making a sound or accidentally knocking a beer bottle over (which was a mistake she used to make quite often but stopped once she figured out the consequences), she slipped on her coat which was hanging on the rack and quietly opened the door, closing her eyes tightly when it creaked, and closed the door when she was outside.
