Wedding day..at last.

The day has arrived..

I finally met Hollis family at their lovely house in Sanford, Florida and instantly fell in love with his parents who treated me just like I was already part of the family.

Later I met his handsome brothers and their wives at a big family cook out at Hollis' house and had a wonderful time.

The only member of his large family who wasn't exactly feeling me was his son, Jeffrey, but I'm confident that I can win him over... eventually.

"So, when we get married what are you gonna do with your house?" Hollis had asked me this question before.

"I think I want to keep it." I said.

"As long as you move in with me, I don't care what you do with your house." He said.

"Oh, homeboy. I plan on doing just that." I said and smirked.
Yes lawd..I couldn't wait to start redecorating and moving some fresh and modern furniture up in his house!!

Hollis simply has no idea of what I have planned for that house of his and I hope he likes it so I'll have to keep my fingers crossed. Wink.

And now the big day has finally arrived!

The church which had been beautifully decorated with pink and white flowers was packed with family and friends and Hollis looked especially handsome

in his dove gray tux and powder blue tie but I could tell that he was a little nervous standing there at the front of the church waiting for me to become his bride.

The wedding song started playing, and there was the rustle of clothing as everyone stood to their feet and looked at the closed double doors expectantly.

My bridesmaids, all wearing those pink, beauty pageant dresses did their thing and now my moment had arrived.

"You look beautiful, baby." My dad said, and I smiled and slipped my arm through his.

"Thank you Daddy."

And I did look beautiful thanks to the "kids" because Todd, Brandy and Glenda had really worked their magic on this special day and my make-up, hair and wedding gown were simply gorgeous.

"I just hope I don't trip and fall flat on my face because it's been a long time since I've worn heels this tall." I whispered but Daddy didn't hear me.

The ushers who were standing on either side of the double doors now grandly swept them opened and I fixed my gaze directly on Hollis handsome, smiling face as I carefully took that first step down the aisle.

The End.

Well this story was longer than I had anticipated it being when I began writing it several weeks ago! I guess the characters had to tell their stories and get some things off their chests. Lol!

So anyway, it's not a perfect story but I tried to stick to a plot as much as I possibly could.
I might have wandered here and there though.

I hope you enjoy reading Miss Lola as much as I enjoyed writing it.
