Opening for Lorde has always been a dream of Ian's and now that he's finally able to he feels ecstatic. He's almost halfway through his third song of 9. He's looking out at the crowd.

Yes, Majority of them are here for Ella but as he finishes the song he gets a good portion of the crowd cheering. Their currently playing their Los Angeles show so there is a pretty big turn out. It was the last show of the tour. By the time he's finished more than half of the crowd is cheering.

Ian feels euphoric to say the least.

He says his goodbyes and thanks them for listening to him before exiting the stage. Ian goes straight for his dressing room to change, grab a water and to watch the rest of the show behind a screen. He pulled his phone off the charger where he left it before the show. He sees a text from Lip asking.

"How'd it go?"

Great. It went great. He answered his brother back as he turned on the television mounted on the wall. It was set to where he could watch the rest of the show.

---

When the show is over he starts collecting his things. As he does so there's a knock on the door. "Come in."  Ian turns towards the door as his manager, Julie walks in.

Julie, has been with him over the last three years. She keeps him grounded when he's in LA and away from his family her being Southside also. She's a single mom of her 6 year old daughter, Callie. It's kinda crazy how he found someone from the same place he lived for so many years.

"Ian! You were great!" Julie exclaimed. Ian chuckled as she almost trips over the leg of his guitar stand. She stands back up straight saying. "Okay, you did not see that."

Ian just shook his head picking up his bag. Julie picked up his guitar along with the stand as she asked. "Ready?"  Ian nodded before following Julie out the door.

They were heading out the back door where both of their cars were parked. When they approached Ian's car he popped the trunk and tossed his bag into the trunk. Julie handed him the stand for him to close it up and put it into the trunk with the bag.

He took the guitar from her, giving her a side hug saying.

"Thank you for everything you do."

Julie smiled and nodded just giving him a simple. "Who else would put up with you?" He scoffed as they parted ways. Ian watched her get into her car and drive away before getting into his car himself.

---

When he got back to his apartment he was exhausted. Ian yawned before getting out of the car. He's parked inside a private parking lot behind the building. He gets his guitar, stand, and bag out of the trunk. He slings the bag over his shoulders.

He walked up to his apartment on the top floor. He unlocked the door and walked in. He walked through the oddly long hallway leading to the rest of the apartment. He set his bag on the kitchen counter before going towards the guest room/music storage room.

Once he put his guitar away he walked down to his room. He then starts to get ready for bed.

He of course is lonely in that apartment by himself but what's he gonna do about it right now? Nothing. Instead, he surrounds himself of things that reminds him of home. In example, on the built in shelf in the kitchen he has some photos of his siblings. It's not often he gets to see them. Of course they text and video chat every chance they get but with Ian's busy schedule it's not that much.
