Thunder strikes outside the temple as screams are heard from within its walls
"come your majesty you must push or the child will perish!" the monk said to the laboring queen.

I CAN'T!" Elysia Screamed in pain pushing ahead once more

As she pushed the thought of who her child would take after crossed her mind, her or her husband? many questions remained swirling n her head as she continued to push until the baby was born.

"It's a girl! My Lady" the monk said as he handed Elysia her daughter

"oh *chuckles* she's just as I imagined her, my sweet baby girl, My sweet Erika" the queen chuckled before kissing her and handing her to the monks to bless her demonic powers into submission

As Erika was handed back to her mother she cooed as her indigo eyes momentarily flashed red and then back to indigo.

For the first 100 years of Erika's life, she spent it on earth with her mother, who taught her the ways of her people, ancient medical practices with herbs that could be found all over the globe, and languages that only the high ones of Adrians Kingdom knew, such as her very parents who sold her as a child to the very king she was raised next to. The man who told her it was her duty as future queen to sit down, shut up, and look pretty. The very man who abandoned her on the eve of their engagement party. The man whose stoic older brother captured her every attentive nerve He who showed he cared for her, loved her he made her his queen and she, who is his Queen was spared no denial when it came to his future children. But there was one hitch, She was human. And her marriage to Alexi The Immortal King of Arathium, Was Absolute Law. But she was human, she was destined to die eventually despite her birth in Adrian's Kingdom. And Alexi upon hearing this swore to keep her alive as long as possible, in doing so he created the first law of magic "One who mates with a demon shall have their life extended 500 years & upon the final night of the 500th year the demon shall turn their mate to our side or fear losing them to the Hall of Nothingness"

Erika was the joy that The queen envisioned for so long, and on the eve of her daughter's 100th birthday, she met her father for the very first time in the palace. Alexi was overjoyed at the arrival of his firstborn daughter, whom he deemed his sole heir to his entire kingdom and the kingdoms within it. Alexi doated on his daughter, teaching her of her heritage and making sure she was firmly educated. He made sure no expense was spared when it came to his daughter's education he taught her everything he knew and what he didn't yet know he brought in experts to teach her.

One dark stormy evening a visitor approached the castle on a white stallion. He was brought to the throne room where Alexi sat on his throne of ebony stone with his young daughter on his lap, she looked to be almost 10 years of age, she was watching her father's hand on which a magical flame danced. Alexi looked up and saw Adrian standing there in a cloak of thick white linen, lined with the purest of gold ever spun.

"Brother, what brings you to my home?" Alexi said eying his brother with caution, He wrapped an arm around his daughter who looked up at the man standing before her father
"I come to see the new addition to the family of course! It is not often I travel to your kingdom brother!" Adrien stated with pride

Alexi sighed and beckoned him to come forward "This is Your Uncle, You must treat him with respect little one" He spoke. Erika looked at Adrian who bowed to her and stood back up at his full height, her eyes widened at how tall he was compared to her. Adrian smiled and rummaged through his cloak pockets and pulled a small present out. It was wrapped in a cream-colored sash with a golden ribbon tied neatly in a bow, He knelt and handed it to Erika, who hopped off her father's lap and walked towards her uncle. She took the present from his giant hand and unwrapped it. Inside was a beautifully crafted golden pipe whistle, it had her initials engraved on it.
