France, 1390 Marry & Elijah's Home
"so you two haven't been able to conceive? Like at all?" Marry asked setting a cup of tea down for her friend
"No, but I know how much James wishes to have a family, it means so much to him, I just wish it wasn't so difficult" Erika spoke as she held Marry's Youngest daughter in her hands, the baby cooed at Erika and she smiled back
"Whatever do you mean?" Marry asked sitting across from her
"Well due to my, Genetics shall we say it's almost impossible for me to conceive with a human, It'd be easier if he was a demon" Erika spoke as Marry's baby held onto her finger
"Then why don't you turn him?" Marry asked
"He says he's not ready, and I completely understand, It's a life-changing experience, literally" Erika said and handed the baby to Marry
"Well, how long does he have before the spell wears off?"
"Oh a little over 450 years left, it's the same for all of you" Erika spoke
"All of us?" Marry questioned
"You, Elijah, Jethro. All of you can choose to turn if you wish" Erika spoke calmly
Marry smiled and sighed "Erika you know Elijah and I won't take that offer right?"
"I know, and I don't expect you to, I just don't want to watch you two fade out of my life just yet," Erika said somberly
"I know, you'll be lonely without us, which is why we've decided to live the entire grace period with you" Marry spoke
"really? You'd do that for me?" Erika asked
Marry nodded and smiled "I couldn't leave my best friend all alone just yet"
Erika smiled and thanked her, leaving soon after to go help Jethro cook dinner
December 1655
Erika woke to a stern pounding at the front door, she looked over at James's porcelain face in the moonlight still fast asleep, he didn't look a day over 35 despite being over 260 years old, Erika smiled faintly at her husband getting lost in his robust features gone soft in his sleep as he snored lightly. She was brought out of her trance by the stern knocking again this time louder and more impatient
"Alright Alright you kook I'm coming" she spoke sliding out of bed and putting her black silk robe on, before making her way down to the front door
She opened the door to reveal a 10 ft tall thin man with jet black hair neatly combed back into a small bun. he wore a black cloak with neck-to-toe onyx armor underneath.
"Good evening Princess, I'm terribly sorry to disturb you, May I come in?" he spoke
Erika stifled a yawn and nodded "Hello King Ziontas, how may I help you at 3 am this fine morning" she spoke semi-sarcastically
Ziontas stepped through the door ducking slightly before she closed the door behind him and walked over to the stairs and sat down resting her forearms on her kneecaps beckoning him to go on
"Why are you so far from the celestial realm Ziontas?" she inquired
He stood a few feet away from her his hands folded neatly behind him "I am in need of your assistance Princess" his deep voice rumbled like thunder in the empty grand room
"with what exactly, and how many times have I told you to not call me Princess, Ziontas" Erika spoke before yawning
"Ah sorry Erika, but the mines aren't producing any onyx in the southern region of my kingdom my advisor thinks it's a revolt and has advised me to get an upper royal to help" he spoke a gloved hand scratching his head
